Gingerbiscuit - Lentils tend to look a bit murky when cooking! You should skim off the foam when cooking them, but TBH I'm too busy doing other stuff to do this all the time and I'm not dead yet! :rotfl:
I had a lovely day at work, took the new work kids to our log cabin and spent a fun day doing team building activities and lounging in the sun. I love watching them start coming out of their shells and starting to make friends.
After work I popped to Post Office to send off a DVD I've sold, and to buy my car tax. Got home to find a parcel on doorstep - a full size box of cereal, not sure where it came from!
I think things are fizzling out between me and Toyboy, and do you know what I'm not that bothered about it. He is a nice guy, but his age does show sometimes, and honestly I want to find someone I can settle down with (though don't tell my mother that!!! :rotfl:). Think we will stay friends though.
OS wise - not much, need to make lunch for tomorrow, DW may go on if it's full enough.
Off to make tea and then read my new Cook Vegetarian magazine
Have a good evening all

Flutterby....the age difference starts to show eventually in most cases.
My ex husband ( DS`s dad) was 10 years younger than me ...he was 19 when we met and I was 28. We were together 7 years but eventually grew apart. Oddly enough the older he got the less we had in common. He turned into a pompous fool.;)
not on here much at the mo as been having stressful time with DS again, but have been reading most days

But I bet the shareholders are rubbing their greedy little hands with glee.:mad::mad:
Look at the comparison sites for a good deal. We just fixed with EDF and didnt have to pay a premium or anything although if we move within a year there is a 50 quid get out xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Evening folks.
Enjoyed watching the end of the Nadal match;).
Took a wee picnic with me to Glasgow in case we were rained out and we had it in Kelvingrove Park which was lovely and sunny. You're right, JackieG, the museum and art gallery was fab. Only 'did' the bottom floor as we yapped a lot during the picnic and it was so lovely to sit in the sun. Had a coffee and scone in the tea room afterwards before I headed back by 4.30 with my cheap time day return, so a frugal trip.
Home just after 5 and took the dogs round the park then heated up last night's soup and chicken from the other day in gravy and veg. Need to tackle the mess in the kitchen now.
Thinking of those amongst us who are having a difficult time just now. Hoping sunnier times are ahead for you.

Evening all,
Rain and shine here to-day....not cold but rain heavy when it comes...guess my clothes on line aren't dry yet!
Had DGS1 all day as he got school holidays last Friday....DGS2 getting his to-morrow....took them both swimming this afternoon and they had a ball....took me over 2 hours to get home from swimming....spent time in DD4's first and then in DS3's when I dropped DGSs off....OH has now gone to bed so peaceful evening for me from now on.
It was a busy day as we had hospital clinic this morning, then shopping in both Lidl and Aldi, then trip to credit union as DD4 had given me quite a bit of cash to lodge for DGS2 so didn't want it hanging around in house. Then collected DD4 from tram as she had taken train to Galway yesterday....she cut her foot on glass on Saturday night, had to have stitches and didn't feel like driving the distance, so seem to have been on the road all day....did have lunch out so made that our main meal and didn't cook to-day...getting really lazy.
Have once again mislaid my phone on which I store numbers of 2 people I want to ring to-night....must find it soon or will be too late, never sure what time people go to bed at and make it a firm resolution not to ring after 9.30.
Hugs to all in need or want of one, welcome to newbies, take care of yourselves
