    Well, it's a damn sloppy set-up!

I registered a while ago, and completed a profile survey. A few days later I had an email asking me to complete ... a profile survey! I think a little later, I had another. I didn't go back and complete it again on either occasion, because I was feeling that this smelled like a scam, and if it isn't a scam, it is amateurish.

Today I had another email asking me to complete the profile survey, and I was daft enough to do it.

A few moments after entering my name and address (again!) and doing the profile survey (again!), I had another email with the subject line "Username and Password Confirmation". In this was another link, in red, underlined, embedded behind the word "Questionnaire".

I clicked on this and was asked if I would like to be included in the panel. I clicked "Yes". Another screen welcomed me to the panel.

However, I still don't know my Username or Password!!!

Now I have just received yet another email asking me to complete a profile survey ...

What a shambles. David Hull, I would like to see a response to this, explaining just what is going on.

Edit: I have just now received another email with my username and password.

Since that last post, I have had yet another invitation asking me to do the three-minute survey ...

    Hi,

I've just received an invite to register with Power of Opinions. Does anyone know if it is any good, or does anyone have any updates to this thread? Has anyone been paid out etc?

    :)

I've just had an invite to this too.
Don't know where they got my email address from...?

I am on quite a few other survey sites but is there any update on this one?

    What have others found?

    Is it worthwhile?

It may just be me being a sceptic but if a company sent me an unsolicited email asking to join them I would be a bit concerned about how they use my details in the future

If someone from Power of Opinions posted to explain their situation then I would see that as a very valuable post which I would have wished to read.

But you decided to delete it.

As an unpaid volunteer, I can only imagine that you do it because of the feeling of power that it gives you.

Whilst it may have given you a 'high' in this case, you have succeeded in spoiling an interesting thread and disappointing me!

I received two emails from powerofopinions today, to the same Email address.

An address that was only ever used as a website contact address and was never used to sign up for anything. They have obviously either used some web scraping tools to collect addresses or have bought such a list from another wholly unethical "marketing" company.

Either way, their behaviour is not that of a responsible, legitimate, business.
