i am a sky full package holder for my tv satellite

when bt rolled me over for another 12 months last november i was angry and have decided to change supplier

was thinking about getting the lot from sky

would it be worth my while

Yes, if you are still in contract for any of the 3 services, you'll have to pay an ETC to leave early.
But how can you possibly have £30 of call charges a month? BT Anytime package is £4.99 pm. Unless you are making huge nos. of mobile or premium rate calls, then switching to Anytime will save you £25 a month straight away.
Or use 185185.co.uk as your override provider.

yep this is what i thought
    that bt are taking liberties
also with sky the broadband is free at times or cheap and bt is £17 a month
    so more saving

regarding paying bt for unfinished contract what do i pay them for
would it be 3/4 months broadband
and what would i owe bt for other stuff
i know id still need to pay them for line rental via sky but what else is there they could charge me for

Sky's 'free' broadband is capped at 2GB per month so little use to most people.
You'll find the ETC's on the BT site, below. No it's not 3 or 4 months, it's a fixed rate per remaining month for each of the 2 services, calls/line rental, and broadband. So you're looking at 5 months x the relevant amounts (which vary according to the package you have).

does anyone know how long it takes sky to set up broadband and skytalk

also how does this work do i click with sky and they notify bt or do i notify bt

i think the woman at bt said they wait for sky to tell them

and would you believe it the woman at bt said she could do me a deal if i stayed with them which would bring my bill down to £94.80 all in
broadband/ calls and line rental instead of my last bill which was £152.84
i queried why my bill has been so high and why i havent had the offer before and she said its a recent minimum offer only available for a short period of time

she also said my cancellacion fee would be £93.00 for my broadband and nothing for my other services

my extra services with sky will cost me
    Broadband Unlimited £7.50
    talk unlimited £5.00
    sky anytime+
    so a total of £12.50
    plus line rental

will it be worth me switching

Can i suggest you phone BT and ask what the costs would be to end the contract early.
Rolling contract narks me if not on the ball annually, thats how they keep their customers. Even then they will make it hard for you.

Once you have some idea of the costs, give notification that you wish to end the contract early and agree to any costs.
They should issue you with a MAC code to give to Sky.

just re queried it with bt and theyve now told me the cost is 6 months cancellation on my broadband 3
but i wont have to pay £30 cancellation/disconnection fee as someone is taking over my service
so the total is £60.32 for 6 months broadband cancellation

ive just signed upto sky and i get 3 months free on broadband
and the costs there after will be
Broadband Unlimited £7.50 Monthly Talk Unlimited £5 Monthly Sky Talk Line Rental £3.75 Monthly

so to me i will save money by switching

last thing when i first entered the mac code it said not pairing with my tel number so phoned bt again and they assured me it was the correct mac number
i then went into the sky a different way and it says
    they are processing my order
when i checked my broadband i get this message

    Product: Sky Broadband Unlimited

Your MAC has been accepted and we will be able to progress with your order. Please check the status of your order again in 24 hours, when we should have an estimated line activation date for you.

so i pressume the mac has finally been accepted by sky

    thanks for your help

    dont you love bt :rotfl:
