How was it out of context! you said you make no comment or judgment yet you make one to someone you don't even know!
What a horrid bitter person you are.
As I stated my child is not at school but I do at least understand it is a problem for those it effects.
Your failure to even acknowledge this just shows how you don't even care about the children.
At least I have the comfort of knowing my child is not taught by you.
I would have no problem if it was affecting me to rearrange but it would pee me off to have to pay £30+ every time not knowing how long it will go on for. (no doubt you will spin that into not wanting to look after my child)
You seem to think it is unfair to be financially worse off, why do you think the general public do not fell the same?
You instigated this with your snotty comment and have perpetuated it with circular arguments that change every time your position is eroded. If you have no child at school then why set up a hypothetical situation where you give me a story about how you work your childcare and how striking teachers will inconvenience you only to turn around and say "Ha! I have no child at school!" when argued against?
I am neither horrid, bitter nor an idiot, all of which you have fired at me in this thread, so don't look down, you non-judgmental moral highground has crumbled beneath your feet.
You cannot accuse me of not caring about children. You have no idea.
That you are comforted by the fact that I do not teach your child is good for you. We can save a great deal of money in education just by having really2 judge the quality of teachers on internet fora.
I never said that the public do not feel the same nor did I say that they do feel the same, once more you put words into my mouth. If the general public are unhappy about being financially worse off then I do sympathise with them. On the other hand if people are willing to fight to defend their pensions than that's more admirable than bending over, taking it and having a grumble about it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Why even bother, Especially after your comments about working parents.
let me get this clear, I called you an idiot, but since of not made any personal attack, you on the other hand have called me an idiot and questioned my parenting.
I think it may have been I who supported working parents in this thread.:o
I once knew a part time teacher on here, very own minded. Quite nasty to those who disagreed with her.
 Now what was her name??
I did not attack working parents. I said that some parents choose to stay at home to parent their children. Then you twisted it. Who's bitter? When did I question your parenting? Quote me. I expect you're going to quote the bit where I question your view on the education system.
I don't know what her name was. Very interesting though because it is very well established that I am a he.
Where I disagreed with you is in the function of the education system which I believe is to educate children and that you argued was to provide childcare.
I commented on the political rhetoric being used and because I omitted the word political before the word rhetoric you were vitriolic.
Since then it has transpired that I don't care about children, aren't aware that I'm responsible for children, I'm an idiot, horrid and bitter and a poor teacher.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Taking a day off work is not exactly fighting and not particularly admirable either.0

All depends on hoy you define "the welfare state".
The state providing welfare, rather than it being left to the vagaries of charity. Remove unemployment benefit for example and create an even more compliant workforce, voila! the Tory Holy Grail - work for buttons or starve.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

To stop you having a break down I wrote. My child is not at school yet, but it would wind me up should I need to find child care for one day when they are usually at school.
So I should imagine it has wound up/ inconvenienced / made financially worse off a number of parents?
You would be fairly blind to see that it does not wind up a fair amount of the public with children who work work for a living (the parents not the children )? )?
People do value the work teachers do but also accept things have to change and many are a lot financially worse off already. The private sector has been and continues to be hammered.
You automatically questioned my parenting for writing it!
So for the sake of the thread you feel looked down on so do I.
Lets leave it there and get on with the debate instead of playing each other.
I have no interest in you and thankfully most of the teachers I know are not as judgmental, I ma sure you feel the same about other parents.I did not attack working parents. Your right I will. Then you think that school is there to look after you kids while you go to work. You have the education system you deserve.
Have we got a sexing dept on MSE
oh and your best pointOh !!!!!!. Of course school is treated as childcare by parents.
I say lets leave it , there is plenty more to stuff each other with. 0 0

As opposed to never do a days work and live what many in the world would consider to be a very comfortable existence?0

Could a government not want to reform the welfair based on the possibility it is now unsustainable.
Even Labour don't support this strike and think it has been done to quickly without negotiation.0

You seem to be inferring much that isn't there from what hasn't been said. Should I walk on eggshells for you?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

All of it or some of it?
Do you include all state pensions, all wage subsidies, all dole, all state funded health care, all state funded education and all ill health/disability benefits in that?
As much as they can do by 2015, at which time they will be kicked out on their !!! 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
