Right, my official start weight for July is 128lbs/9st 2lbs. Really trying to tone up and lose fat, so wouldn't be suprised if I dont lose weight as I'll hopefully be gaining muscle.

On another note, does anyone have any suggestions for work-out tunes? Just bought an mp3 player for the gym, but got no idea what tunes to put on to motivate me on the treadmill!!

Good Luck to everyone for July!!

i used to start off with a lot of upbeat/dance music then have a couple of slower songs to the end kinda like a cool down

Another late starter here. Brief into....I've always been overweight, I think my natural size is a 24 lol. I come from a "large size" gene pool so being thin is hard work. About 7-8 years ago I lost shed loads of weight, got married at a size 10 but have since ballooned back to 17 stone. In my defense, we did move to a new area and had a baby so been at home for 4 years :)

I'm now again at the "ready" stage. I started last Thursday and hubby has been really good too. It helps that we are both trying to shed weight. I've cut out all the rubbish food and have started working out daily on my pilates machine. The workout lasts about 20-30 minutes but I'm not convinced it will help with weight loss. It is fabulous for the mind and I do feel great when afterwards just not sure if it's enough. So fingers crossed and good luck to everyone else.
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j

    Total loss = 5.5

That sounds familiar - I can totally see where you are coming from. After losing four stone before baby and now he is a year old, I still weigh nearly as much as I did when pregnant. I had given a lot of my 22/24 sizes to charity, but did keep a few in a suitcase which are now making up my staple wardrobe. I can't remember wearing anything less than a size 14.

I would love to be down a few sizes , who wouldn't - just got to put the effort in now. Going for a walk now which should help.

Good luck with your journey Siren1994 and also to all in July's challenge.

Had a very busy and tiring family-reasoned six months that saw me well and truly slip off the weight loss wagon and onto grabbing on the move or bad quick choices because I was too exhausted to do anything.

The good thing is that I've sort of yo-yoed because of that and I've been bouncing between 5 pounds on and off because I've been so active that the bad stuff hasn't settled.

The bad thing is that all that makes me realise that if I had taken the chance to batch cook like I have all the times before or shopped for things that weren't so easy to quickly eat on the hop that I would have lost - but you can't change it, and at the time I would have growled how I'd rather sit down and rest my feet. :rotfl:

So yes, I'd like to lose those five pounds and at least 2 more this month to set me back on an even keel :T So please sign me up!
