Horrible iPod Battery and Apple won't help

Thanks guys.
I emailed jobs and likely won't get a reply. But I emailed the Comet person and got a email back stating that they got my email and will get back to me (Hopefully something happens).
Any more emails I could contact. I tried one senior at Apple but have had no reply in a week so that's out... Who else can I try. I want to get as many people as possible emailed till this is resolved.0 -
I dropped my iPhone 4 last week, cracked the screen and also had a few bumps round the casing. Had a few weeks warranty left, and I got a replacement within 5 minutes at the Apple store.
You won't resolve this by emailing random people, you'll resolve it by going to an Apple store and telling them what the problem is.0 -

The OP lives 60 miles from an Apple Store...0 -

My point was that travelling 60 miles is going to be way more effective than emailing random people 5000 miles away
But what if they do nothing again? I took it in last time, they plug it into their fancy Macbooks and say it was this long since last charge and stuff then say it's fine to them.0 -
If you get to the store, try to demonstrate the problem. You have set circumstances under which you get problems, try to replicate them. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

go to the store seems to be a better way of dealing the problem.0

I agree with others here that you seem to have a device which is faulty and has been missold to you as unfit for purpose etc. Apple store and consumer direct would definitely be the way to go. Apple store would probably get you the best results. If power is dropping 50% by visiting the app store, I'm sure you can demonstrate that to them in store.
The other option - and this really is a last last resort - is to replace the battery yourself. This is obviously something not to do lightly, as it takes some force, will invalidate the 3 year warranty, and lets face it you shouldn't have had a faulty battery in your ipod to start with. I'm sure if you take the consumer route and complain to Apple you will get a replacement. I just thought I would point that out as an option if you get screwed over by the people at Apple and Comet0 -

Either the battery issue isn't as bad as you made out, or you didn't explain the problem last time you were in.
If your issues are as you say, the Apple store would give you an immediate replacement 10 times out of 10.0 -

Now, it was at 80% and I went on the app store for 5 minutes and now it's 40%... It's horrid. Low brightness is unreadable, normal brightness and I'd have no battery. But the worst part is Apple says it's fine :@ I have send it in 3 times now and they say it meets their specifications...What are their specifications? If it powers on, it's fine??
I've sent letters but the same reply.. I'm getting ready to keep complaing. The local shop I bought it from (Comet) won't do nothing either even though I have a £50 3 year warrenty
What else is there to do, I have no support on a near unusable device. What else can I do (Currently I have emailed a few of people higher up in apple but no reply).
(Yes, I have tried 4.2.1/4.3 and above/5.0b1 and 2 but it's still horrid.. What is there to do?) ..
Anything I can say or whatever to Apple, I have owned the iPod less than 12 months and still in warrenty yet they treat me like this.. What can I do?
Show them that at the Apple store... or are you exaggerating?0
