  • Not the best day. felt like crap for most of it.

My sister came round and I know I have said it before but I am just a seething pile of resentment and I need to work out a way to deal with that. it is partly that I had moved alot of stuff out of my room nd had to move it back cos she was coming over. This week was meant to be about decluttering my room and having a general sort out of my paperwork (I have a list!) but I can't straighten my room out and that is really stressing me out (hence I think the feeling like crap). I have to go out tomorrow and will be out all day so cannot finish it then. I also need to put stuff in the shed (which will be renamed the Tardis at this rate!!!!) and get stuff out........and go through the boxes for Charity.

I have thought about giving up one of the fish tanks which makes me sad. They are beautiful fish (to me!) and I just don't have room for their tank now the guinea pigs have got a new cage(which is great if a little on the holy crap its massive side).

I need to have a rethink regarding the room.

am off to make cocoa and the Gps dinner

    see you tomorrow

  • I did have my rethink.

I have it figured out now. just about. it means spending money. :( but I don't really want to give up the fish - I fully appreciate that to some people that will seem ridiculous but they are my pets and I want to keep them. so there. you make a commitment to an animal etc.

I think my poor Mum is sick of me decluttering the conservatory is a mess. I wish I wasn't going out today. oh dear. well sitting here isn't getting anything done.

    see you later

  • Right I have read all the books and tried Fly lady. I have to be honest and say that her e mails get right on my tits, they are basically an advert for her stuff(which is the same stuff you can buy in the pound shop but purple and more expensive) Its a shame, I used like the e mails they were very good reminders but now its buy the calendar, buy the water bottle, buy the purple rags!

any how that rant over with I am taking a new approach to my mess.

    Stage one

Move EVERYTHING that is mine and hanging around downstairs to the conservatory.
don't think about it don't worry about it.

    Stage two

Move my furniture around upstairs and go through the clothes and shoes. put stuff aside for charity and BIN!!

    Stage three

swop over furniture, set up new fish tank and put together desk. haha. that could take some doing!

    Stage four

Go through the stuff left in the conservatory, school work, filing, shred bin, recycle

right it is almost ten so I had best get a move on.

see you later folks. I WILL defeat the Clutter Monster!

  • Just keep telling yourself you can do it.

I hate the flylady emails too, find it much easier just joining in on their facebook page.

  • Thats exactly what we did when DS had a new cabin bed as he had grown out of his old one. Took everything out and only put back what fitted or was for his age.

I had completely forgotten thats how we did it, cheers for the reminder as I am currently decluttering between the loft and our bedroom :D

I have got the furniture upstairs and down stairs swopped round but it is not all in place yet. needed to rearrange shed too to make fit so took longer.

I have to be honest people, I am finding it very hard to be positive about anything at the moment. I am utterly sick of living like this.

I think I am lonely. sounds pathetic but I thought as I shoved pushed and carried stuff today I realised when two of my friends did a similar thing they both had help from the men in their lives. I have to do it all myself and somedays it is just so hard. which I know is self pitying but heck tonight I don't care.

    positives.

    1. I am studying for a masters
    2. I have signed up for a Tefl course.
    3. I will have a calm organised bedroom and house - something I haven't had for about two years I think not fully done at the same time
    4. I have many friends
    5. the pets are all healthy.
    6. I can drive.
    7. I have no debts.
    8. I am getting a new fish tank.
    9. There is always the possibility for love.

Just remember you need to love yourself first and the rest will follow x

  • Thanks xxxxxx

If nothing else this weekend has taught me that I need to get my !!!! together and save for a deposit.

It must be done. I NEVER want to spend another Summer decluttering the year at work and trying to live in such a tiny space, constantly chucking stuff away and giving it away so that i can barely keep anything of importance.

    xx
