So 1.5 dessert spoons per tablespoon, recipe calls for 4 tablespoons so 6 dessert spoons? dont suppose it has to be spot on, it's only olive oil. Gonna get me some of those measuring cup things that are all tied together like keys, but got none for today, thank you muchly xx

Been busy in the garden since I last posted, chopped down some of the Elder tree and some random bush things that are growing in from under the fence from next door, looks much tidier and the green bin is rammed. Eat your heart out Alan Titchmarsh :p

Relocated the rabbit hutch to under the trees in the shade, and emptied the green bin again cos, which is unusual for me *drips with sarcasm* threw the clippers in the bottom of it with some llilandi cuttings.

Washing load no.3 almost done, so will hang it out, stick another one in then gonna get the hoover out, then think that'll be it till after the Tennis.

    Gets Wisteria envy:rotfl:

How did you deal with the 'worlds worst green tiles'?

(does anyone remember those white tiles with a random colour pattern that sort of looked like a baby chicken?)

    Crowbar
    Rubble sacks
    Skip

Last house I tried painting over them with the tile paint but you could see the pattern so I didn't even try this time.

These were off white/pale brown tiles with a fetching random pattern in green. I was talking to someone who was good friends with the previous owners last week (in thier 80s, died five years ago) and even she asked what I had done about worlds worst tiles :rotfl:.

Second coat of white on three walls and the ceiling. Window wall is being done in 'teresas green' atm, a lovely peaceful colour.

    Good afternoon :D

Didn't get up too late, but haven't much yet :o
DH & I took DS & friend to a party, then doggo for a walk/swim (via petrol staion & DH having a quick look at Homebase - I need to stay in the car 'cos the dog was in there) We need some edging for the garden (about 5.3 metres) but the stuff he wants is £8.50 for a metres length. Decided that was too expensive today - might be worth waiting for the next 15% day. i am going to look online to see if I can get it cheaper.

We need to crack on with the garden. The inlaws may turn up today 'cos it is my birthday on Tuesday & they won't see me. We may have a BBQ, so went to Aldi to make sure we had enough in the freezer in case of extras. BIL & SIL may come unannounced, with kids, and expect feeding  They haven't seen DH for his birthday yet, so may just do it together. When it is their birthdays (or the kids) they say 'meet us round MILs'. that way they don't have to tidy up, buy food, make tea or clear up afterwards!! They never lift a finger, or offer help! Sometimes you don't want people under your feet in the kitchen, but is always nice when people offer :p And they don't even do anything with the kids - we are expected to that aswell  DH is going to reach boiling point soon (sorry - rant over! :o)
So, now I need to clean out the bunny and sweep the patio. i may then get the ingrediants ready for 'Spaninsh rice' which went down well at last weeks BBQ :D
Oh, and i need to get online re the garden edging.

    Off i go! .....

Taking a quick breather, going to post a progress update to keep me motivated:

then go h**l for leather for an hour or so as kids have just gone down for a nap...in their bedroom which is looking so good! I used to put off cleaning because I felt I could never clean well enough, my house never looked that good. Well I guess little and often is the key! Their room looks just like a normal kids' room! I guess you can clean and clean in a mad session, and if you've done no cleaning for months, it still won't look great... but just hoovering and picking up toys once a week for two weeks makes it look cleaner than an hour's mad session. Plus I've been inspired to move some furniture, put up some piccies which I just never had the energy for before starting Flylady.

    Anyway...

    * [STRIKE]2 loads laundry, [/STRIKE]fold all laundry from yesterday that is just sitting on floor, put in piles to go away.
    * [STRIKE][STRIKE]tidy downstairs [/STRIKE]and up, including office floor [STRIKE]and bathroom[/STRIKE], make beds[/STRIKE]* [STRIKE]take bags of garden waste to tip, do a bit more edging in the garden, put away garden tools
[/STRIKE]* [STRIKE]get baby stuff ready for my pregnant friend to collect this afternoon - didn't quite get it done, but it's as done as it will be for today, can give her a bit more stuff later
    [/STRIKE]* [STRIKE]hoover and mop downstairs
    [STRIKE]
    [/STRIKE]* hoover [STRIKE]stairs[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]corridor, bathroom [/STRIKE]and office
    [/STRIKE][STRIKE]* swish and swipe bathroom
[/STRIKE]* write down spending for last couple of days

Not bad, not bad. Will hope to be able to cross off the LOT in an hour. That'll be a first for me! Here's hoping, anyway! *whispers* I've even done some extra bits that aren't on the list! Good to have a productive day after the last few disappointing ones.
