Bin back round the front... full to bursting!!!!
    Patio swept
    Recycling caddy bleached
Bin bleached (it was discovered it had no binbag and DD3 had filled it to the brim with !!!!y nappies!!!)
    Plants reshuffled

Next week OH has the gulley and the alley to clear.. that should fill a whole bin as well :D The garden should then be pretty much manageable.. apart from the pile of mud he needs to redistribute.. :D I sense DD2 wanting friends and a BBQ for her birthday so it will be nice then.

    Washing in and all folded.

DW needs to be on and the worksurfaces need digging out.. all in all the house is starting to resemble a skip rather than a landfill.... that has to be progress!

  • Well did this today:

    Friday ~ Childrens/Spare rooms
    Level One
Spend at least half an hour doing something just for yourself.. a nice bath, a manicure.. just your time! Make that appointment to have your hair done!!
    Level Three
    deweb and fluff the room
    clean the windows
    !

Plus mowed lawn. Which seems to need doing every day:(

Now I'm quite busy looking at Colin Firth on telly!:)

    Evening all

Street party was fab and everybody appeared to have a wonderful time. My feet are really aching now. Need to help with the clearing up tomorrow but hopefully there will be lots of helpers.

Just going to put the washing on the maiden and then off to bed. A day of gardening planned for tomorrow.

Morning everyone. Been awake for what seems like ages, had a coughing fit which woke me up and then everytime I drifted off again would wake myself up. Gave up almost an hour ago and came downstairs so I wouldn't disturb OH anymore.

Just posting a list for today

Reprint labels for place cards and menus
Stick labels on place cards and menu card
    Stick card onto menus
    Washing x 2
    Tidy living room
    Tidy kitchen
    Tidy bedroom
    Tidy spare room
    Ironing (if time)

If we get that done then we start next week in a very good position :D

Morning all. Cross with myself..I've worked hard this weekend but just gave up after my half hour yesterday at 8. DH is away so it's just me and the kids and the house 'felt creepy' being about by myself. How pathetic is that? So now it's Sunday, I wanted it to look great for when he gets home...and yet the kids will be up in half an hour and I'm messing about on here!

RIGHT. Time to look at the positives. I've done really well this week and made a lot of progress. What, realistically, can I get done before DH gets home?

    * 2 loads laundry, fold all laundry from yesterday that is just sitting on floor, put in piles to go away.
    * tidy downstairs and up, including office floor and bathroom, make beds
    * take bags of garden waste to tip, do a bit more edging in the garden, put away garden tools
    * get baby stuff ready for my pregnant friend to collect this afternoon
    * hoover and mop downstairs
    * hoover stairs, corridor, bathroom and office
    * swish and swipe bathroom
    * write down spending for last couple of days

Think that's going to be it. Then my plan for next week is just to make progress over what I did this week:

    * dailies (2 loads laundry, half hour paperwork/phone calls, 45 mins job hunting, swish and swipe bathroom, tidy upstairs, downstairs clean and tidy plus vacuumed and mopped, work in garden and veg plot, plan and prep food for the next day, monitor spending)
    * night-time routines *NEW* (get clothes laid out for me and the children the night before)
    * Level 2! *NEW* Eeek a big step!
    * 15 mins daily decluttering master bedroom *NEW*
    * take some rubbish out of the car every day

The bedroom is for this reason...it is one of my two 'rooms of doom' along with the office, though the office is showing some improvement after my first week flying. I went to a party yesterday. It took me about twice as long to get ready as it should have because I couldn't find anything and had to pick my way over clutter to get round the room. I actually broke something by accidentally standing on it. I felt dirty by the time I left even though I'd just showered, because the room must be really dirty. It put me in a really, really bad mood before I'd even walked out of the door.

It's been like this for a long time, basically since we moved in since we moved in with 5 month old twins and didn't get round to sorting anything. By the time I had the energy to do anything about it, it had become normal. Since I married, I've never had a 'nice' bedroom...it used to be tidier, but it's never been a happy space. That's what I'm aiming for long term, but for now it is overwhelming. 15 minutes a day plus the level 2 cleaning should make it so much better by this time next week.

I've also realised I have a real problem with working in any form in the evenings. Neither of my parents have ever done it, so far as I know, so I didn't grow up with the example. OH doesn't lift a finger after 7pm as a rule either and resents me doing so. I never used to do my homework either. I am doing better but...more progress required this week.
