Second coat now on the walls but it will need a third. :(

Went into town and got DS1 a new bike (it's his birthday pressie, even tho his birthday isn't until august), so he hasn't been off it since we got home. :rotfl:

Me and hubby heading to cinema shortly, plan is to be home by 8 and do the third coat. Must peel the spuds for dinner before i go.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I also pulled up all the weeds path side of our garden wall, and swept along the path. And helped my Grandad after working with a few things he's finding hard with his hands. Going to pop by our family yard and pick up the lawnmower, might get a little gardening done after tea. My Dad should be finished with trading so I'm going to bug him for some 'outside' paint so I can paint our doorsteps tomorrow.

She seems to be fine now thank you :D

Re the strikes.. tbh I am sick of hearing 'the teachers didn't want to strike they just did as the unions told them'.. well if they didn't want to do it they should have said no shouldn't they!!!

I have a family littered with teachers and not one has worked past 50 and the oldest teacher to have retired was 55 at the childrens primary... my gran had to work until she was 70 ironically cleaning the homes of 'old people' and my stepdad is still working hard at 68.. the pensions can't be that bad!!

Very light skim of the thread so apologies if I have missed anything important.

Highlight of the day - a generous donation to the Flylady home for used books - thanks Greenbee

House is an utterly shameful tip of mammoth proportions. Slap in the middle of a heavy flare up so I am far too sore to do a lot about it - even my elbows hurt which is a first. Keeping on top of one DW and WM load a day but it isnt enough. I have put our bedding into the WM tonight, and I am going to try and clear some mess now. If I put it on here, I have to do it!
