Went to market. Got dinner. Came back.

Splats are in puddles across the downstairs.

I really can't be bothered - but I am playing tonight and need to get my butt into gear. There's an album launch party afterwards, so might stay to see some of it - but might not.

The place can stay a tip for all I care until it cools down.


Blergh. Need rain.

Didn't get loads done in my half hour as it's just too hot and DD wanted help de-fluffing her legs!

Have got tea on, wiped paintwork and put more washing on.

Also removed washing from tumble drier that OH had put in .... he clearly hasn't noticed it is 31 degrees out there! Either that or he loves paying the electricity bill. :mad:


Monday - Sitting Room and Hallway
Level One
[STRIKE]Open the windows and turn on some music!
Vacuum floors and sofas!
Declutter the chairs, floor and top of any cupboards![/STRIKE]
Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
Sort out coats, shoes and bags
Clean any ornaments, glass, mirrors, pictures etc[/STRIKE]
Level Three
Check those smoke alarms!
[STRIKE]Wipe sofas, paintwork and dusty places
HHC in the hallway.. vacuum floors/stairs, wipe paintwork, fling that junk mail!.. if there is a charity shop bag.. FILL IT!
Empty and wash out vacuum cleaner.. don't forget filters![/STRIKE]
Extras
[STRIKE]Catch up on some calls/emails[/STRIKE]
HHI
[STRIKE]Clean switches and sockets
Wipe the windows in these areas[/STRIKE]

sorry to hear you are all melting - spare a thought for us up here in Scotland - we have had torrential rain here for the last 2 days.

goodintentions sorry to hear about your uncle - my thoughts are with you and your family.

aj 12 days WOW!!! the time seems to have flown in - we expect you to be here everyday this week - no excuses - if you get the house done this week you can chill up to the wedding then - so knuckle down and get stuck in and get hubby to be working as well!!

toots know what you mean about the weather. Its like we all live on 2 different planets at the moment. I'm just about thinking about planting out my tomatoes/courgettes and beans:rotfl:everyone down south is starting to harvest them.

I'm melting too Only managed to get the paintwork wiped down in the halls and up the stairs in my half hour. Was bloomin' hard work! All the doors and skirting boards needed a good scrub but at least they look loads better now

we had about 10 minutes of rain so it may be on it's way over to you...

All bar one window now sanded, primed and undercoated (not by me ) and he's coming back to finish them off tomorrow morning. DW repair man is coming over tomorrow morning too, so it'll be busy first thing. I need to pick up my prescription from the chemist as well.

So tonight I have to go for a quick walk, then continue blitzing the kitchen. I was slowed down by the need to wash up by hand earlier...

Hope you get the nasty family pe(s)ts dealt with. They are a real pain and I don't have kids - just DH who generously brings things home from the hospital.

Another red hot day here then at 4pm we had sunshine, heavy rain and thunder. Was at my voluntary job so waited till it stopped.

Living room started and mostly done.
Load of washing in.
S&Sed bathroom and kitchen.

Will do a HHi later.

Oooph! Just had a whole hour organising. All my important bits are now filed nicely in wallets in a box file. Trawling ebay for a nice expanding file though. A girl can dream :A
