A long time since we updated this, so just to let you know,

Still with the Fos, had the 2 usual letters one in Jan and March to say due to high volumes of complaints there is a delay.
Spoke to them in March and asked did we have to wait at back of queue again when the complaint has been going for 3 years and we have done all what they told us and still the same claim number. The person I spoke to sent an email to another department. Told me if not heard anything in 8 weeks I must contact them again.
    Keep you posted

    Update
    Spoke to fos today:
Still in a queue waiting for adjudicator, but they don,t have an adjudicator to allocate the case to. They are waiting results of lead cases and are in discussions with insurance companies because some are not happy with the fos looking at claims against them and don,t accept the fos response.
So not looking very good for us:(

  • Hi

Reading through for an advise on my dads claim I am helping him with and it's almost identical. Contacted First plus, told us it was dial 4 a loan, who told us its jubilee (Cassidy Davis).

Just wondered if you had any success?

Hi, this thread is over a year old benji has not posted back.
Contact FOS and ask them what you should do.
  • I am in the same position.
I have had a few conversations with FOS and Lloyds Insurers and although slow, FOS seems to think that the cases will soon be resolved.
My original loan was with First Plus which was was sold through a broker (CT Capital).
Mine has been with FOS for over a year and when i spoke to them last week and asked the time scale for it to be resolved. The person working on cases like this said it should be sooner rather than later.
Some of the Insurance Underwriters had agreed with FOS but some hadnt. They were in the process of sorting out a few test cases.
I will try to update as soon as
  • Hi all, have any of you had any joy with getting Cassidy Davis (Jubilee0 to pay up, we are in same boat, took loan end 2003 with firstplus with added PPI nearly £8k, didnt realise at the time but we were dealing with a broker CT Capital/central trust who lied to us and told us they were first plus as we had an existing loan and they called us and asked if we wanted a further advance, so we were well and truly stitched up !! Central trust not regulated and a nasty bit of work when you try and deal with them, first plus dont care and just keep passing the buck to Central trust even though they clearly gave them our loan info for them to lie to us and mislead us into a new loan !! Complaint been with FOS for over 2 years now being fast tracked but getting now where , so only hope is to go to underwriter Cassidy Davis which we have just sent off , but not very hopeful so wondered if anyone had any luck !! thanks all

Hi all not been on here for a while but had no updates till now.

3rd December a phone call from FOS informing us trying a different approach with our case and contacting Dial 4 a loan under Mortgage Code.
A phone call today from FOS they are pursuing Firstplus. Informed we should have final decision by end of Feb.

We are confused because this claim has been ongoing for 4 years and FOS said 4 years ago it wasnt Firstplus who miss-sold PPI.

We have a feeling FOS just want to get all long cases off there books so at end of Feb will be told they can't do anything for us :(
    Don't feel very hopefull
