Competitor left pos feedback and low dsr's

Im fuming !! I was just about to get my tsr and a competitor has bought an item of me, and left a 1 or 2 star for pp which was 20p more than actual cost and for dispatch time, it was recorded delivery and signed for the next day ie within about 20 hours from paying.

He left a positive feedback, ebay said it might not be him, as I had 4 feedbacks left that day, surely they can see who has left the dsr's.

Im really cross, I have phoned ebay and all they can do is pass it on to another team, trust safety or something.

AAAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrr.

Dont suspose theres anything I can do.

I don't think that there is anything that can be done, how much are the items that you sell? A lot of people don't like paying for recorded delivery as it doesn't give them as a buyer any more protection it just costs them an extra 77p or whatever it is.
I know that people can see the p&p costs before buying but that doesn't seem to make a difference to them & they only like to pay stamp price.

The item cost £35 and post packaging charge's are £3.20 actual charge £2.96. but needs loads of bubble wrap. He has sold it on with a postage charge of 3.99!

The whole system stinks I am fuming!!
    as if you hadn't guessed!!

Something similar happened to me - someone i had blocked used her neighbour/relative to buy the item and left + feedback but wrecked my DSR's
Ebay did not want to know although there was ample proof of them buying stuff off each other in the past then re-listing to get a better price

I even said I would give ebay the tracking ref number to prove that is was delivered within 24 hours yet they gave a 1 or 2 for dispatch time, ebay are probably happy hes wrecked my TRS they get 25% more off me!

It's these scenarios that show that the DSR's are being abused.
I'm not a business seller but would still be furious if it happened to me.

yes i offered to send the the proof or postage etc - I tried really hard to get the DSR's rectified but Ebay just said they could not prove malicious bidding or change the feedback as it was positive, and all I could do was contact the buyer.

They told me NOT to contact him as positive feedback cannot be revised - basically ebay dont care! They told me to block him, which I have done but a bit late now.

Ask them what all this crap is about then - especially 3rd from bottom:-

    http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/sellerprotection.html

Its now very easy to knock off compeititors on Ebay. You will be expected to offer lower/free delivery to get your rating back up = more money for Ebay in final value fees.

I assume you know how to pin the DSR down to this one individual - although it won't do you any good - as its against ebay policy to use the info and contact the buyer.

Maybe i should start leaving EVERYONE low DSR's. After all - every time i leave everyone 5 stars - i'm knocking myself down the search listings.
  • Ebay set up nice system where people can harm you but you have no comeback and can't find out who it is...........nice!
Having said that, it works over all. Before the system, plenty of sellers would screw buyers, now we can choose Top rated to escape that.
I saw a link on web before about EBAY usa, dunno if it still applies....if someone leaves a positive feedback, and low DSRs, Ebay investigate. All of them.
