    Hi,

Exactly the same problem. It may be a dodgy site, as in not very well written or prepared. I've already rang my cc and they say there hasn't been a transaction on my card. I had the choice of blocking the card totally and having a new one sent or waiting to see what happens. I opted to wait as we have the suppliers' address.

Do I need a new food processor this much? I don't mind not getting the saving as long as my cc details etc are safe.
Just looking to save a few pennies here and there
  • I am agreeing with you MeanManc. I think I may ring and block my card completely. Luckily I only have a very small limit on it and only use it for emergencies....I used it for this as I thought I would be more protected paying by CC.

MeanManc what does the status of your order say? mine says recieved and processed.

    Hi,

My order is still showing as waiting to process and I got my only email from them at 12:07.

It may be just a very pants website. You may get your order.

    OP where are you?
Just looking to save a few pennies here and there
  • I don't necessarily think anything illegal is afoot as I am aware of the company and have heard good reports about their service BUT when it comes to a find like this with such a good saving it's hard to know what to do as if it goes through we're all chuffed and when we hear nothing people begin to worry. If you ordered from Boots or (dare I say) Adams, no-one would say a thing if they didn't hear anything for days on end. It's just because they aren't well known. In their defense, they do have a telephone nunber but whose going to ring them? See what happens tomorrow I think.
    Consider anything only don't cry!
  • Google the site and you'll find it mentioned many places over several years - not always complimentary but it's an established business at least.
I didn't need to give a password when I submitted my order so I can't log in there anyway, but don't expect to. Order awaiting processing in my case BTW.
Reading this signature is a waste of time
  • Weird though , it never asked me for a password and now it wont let me create one or registeres that i have one! also how come the poster hasnt replied to others questions? .....strange......!
Mine was waiting to be processed.....ummm fingers crossed
maybe just being a bit too sceptical!!

I was a bit concern that was the OP's first post but I thought maybe someone wanted a new identity or maybe she/he does not posted very often so has forgotten his/her password. She/he may have been waited until the food processor is received before decided to let everyone knows about the offer. I was/am not that worried.

Anyway I got an email this afternoon from this company telling me my order has been received and processed.

Just now I called my card issuer (Amex), they told me there's a transcaction today by 'The Cooks Kitchen' but he could not tell me the amount yet. He told me not to worry and advised me to call again in a couple of days (when the transaction is logged onto the system, -- I think most other credit card companies will be able to tell you the amount straight away) and if I was billed extra, they would take care of that for me.

    HTH.

The item has been removed from the website. Looks like a genuine miss price.
the website is genuine enough too. it's way to professional to have been cooked up by the average scammer (dya geddit? cooked up? oh never mind)
my order still states 'order waiting to be processed'

now it's just wait and see time i suppose.

there is no disclaimer regarding pricing errors......silver lining etc

Looks like I got my order in just in time! Confirmation of order received at 19:17 :D .

Could be the nicest from-me-to-me Christmas present yet! Fingers crossed.

PS Didn't have to register or log in, just placed the order!
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!
  • Wow what a difference a few hours make! My order now says "processed". judging by some comments earlier "processed" may mean scammed!

I have not got a password to log on. So I went for the lost password option and typed in my E-Mail address. Guess what, they have no record of that E-Mail address!
It could be part of an elaborate scam. If it is then they have gone to great lengths and their attention to detail has to be admired. I think it would take a few days to set up such a detailled scam. However, the rewards can be huge. Especially given the speed at which information travels on the WWW and internet.

I have said this before, so I apologise if you have read this before but...there's always a but! I believe that some retailers use these kind of websites as a marketing tool. I think they use web sites and forums as a subversive marketing tool. They "leak" voucher codes and offers and get the benefits. They may initially have a small loss but the massive amount of sales generated compemsates for it. Of course I could be paranoid and this idea may be rubbish!

I am sitting tight, remaining calm and will wait until the new year. If nothing has turned up I will actuall try and contact them!
Never ever pay full price for anything and question everything at least twice!
