    Morning all!!

our heatwave hit us last night,:jand it was so hard to sleep!! the sun is shining now, and i will start piling the washing in the machine as soon as i've had my bath. Got lots to get done today.

about 4 loads of washing including bedding, clean the kitchen and bathroom, wash the floors, make a pasta salad for OH's lunches and nip to the shop to get loo roll and the rest of the bits of OH's chicken stir fry (can someone point me in the right direction for a good recipe?)

We ended up getting a takeaway last night from our curryhouse, there is plenty left over as they gave us an extra rice, so I'm going to have that for dinner they give you a 20% discount if you pick up the meal instead of getting it delivered, we got 2 main dishes,2 sides, 2 naans, 1 rice (plus our extra one) and popadoms for £16! You cant' go wrong at that price when it lasts 2 meals and is delish :)

OH is helping and friend then fishing today, I think BIL is coming round so will rope him into carrying heavy boxes into the garage to clear his room out.

Also have a bottle of white chilling for later in the afternoon :)

    have a lovely day all!

Silvermaid Take it easy, the bereavement turmoil lasts a while. Things will sort themselves out eventually....

Bitsy Bring the small people here to stay. We live by the beach and can take the early mornings :rotfl:

    Good morning good people,

I'm still sorting Faulty Towers. The good news is that the floor is reappearing in the top room. I've had some sort of virus for the last two weeks, so haven't done much. Hopefully it's on it's way out now so I'll be good for doing things again.

I've lost 2 stone 8.5 lbs since February, and the house elf has been out and about sailing his share of his sailing boat. He's still the youngest sailing member of the yacht club, and they came second in the last race with him on board.

Today will be a housework day. I have ironing to do, another load of washing to do and I need to make some cakes and some cookies.

    Take care all of you.

  • Sun? what Sun, heatwive I don't think so, its cloudy and the ever present wind is with us again.........

Bed stripped sheets etc in the washer to do on E7 tonight. Brekkie 1/4 Asda £1 ,melon each, toast and HM marmalade.

Supper tonight - roast chicken and all the trimmings some more of the strawberries OH brought home yesterday for dessert with a scoop if ice cream.

We have just been given the go ahead on a walled garden to use for veg growing, we missed the allotment and veg patch at the cottage, tomorrow is garden day, we are off for most of the day armed with grub and flasks plus the cauli, calebrese, cabbage, fennel and leeks plants I got yesterday. We have to dig over the deep beds where we are going to start some of the veg off, then progress to the main part of the garden for the leeks and get a row of carrot in.........think we will be crackered when we get back.

I will have to take it steady, mindful of my back and also the Fibro flare up I had.....do not want to end up chair bound again.

    Morning everyone :)
JackieO is it me, I think it's the 26th today?

Not too bad a morning, quite mild when I fed the birds just.
I've got some toms to repot as they've suddenly decided they are going to live despite everything I do to neglect them

Everybody seems so active, I'm only just waking up after my third coffee.
I'll be doing a bit of pottering outside while the rain's off then later will have to have a session with the ironing board as I'm just about out of work shirts.

Roast chicken today, with roasters etc and will save some for our lunch tomorrow with some of the little lettuces out of the garden.

    Morning All

Glorious here. JACKIEO enjoy the beach I live just down the road from Joss Bay so lucky to live here I've got the choice of 9 beautiful sandy beaches all within 5-10 minutes of me.

SILVERMAID hugs hun take it easy.

Had a great night out and the best thing was no jacket needed and I was able to sit outside. Not planning on doing much today. Will probably do my ironing on the patio. Off to get DS in a mo.

Dinner is steak from the freezer for DS and I fancy a nice HM veggie curry.

Have a lovely day all and hugs to all who need one
