You come across as of sound mind, and have been with your lady for a long time, I wish you luck in finding the loan needed for your well planned wedding. It seems to me you've thought it through and are fully aware of the financial commitment and are reasonably happy to go into debt for this, so I say good luck to you.

If you closed some empty cards now could you look for another 0% deal? Have you worked out how much per month you can afford for the repayments?

Does it have to cost so much, i know its an important day etc etc but surely 1 that cost £5k would still be memorable.

In case it reassures you, people are also generally very down on loans for cars or pretty much all other purposes!

Nope, I'd still advise anyone wanting a loan for a motor car at 16k that they're as mad as a badger.

But in the end, the car would have a value which is more than you'll have if it all goes pete tong?

You have to remember that everyone has a different opinion based on their life experience, past dealings etc etc....it's up to you if you actually do it and up to the lenders if they actually lend it.
