Annual Leave

You shouldn't lose any leave on change of assignment though, as you should take all your leave prior to joining your new Unit.
KEY POINTS
The key points to note with immediate effect are:
• Leave will not be zeroed at 3 yearly intervals (commencing 31 Mar 12).
• There has been no change to the current policy of zeroing balances on assignment.
• Automatic carry forward of leave will remain at 15 days.
As for taking all of my leave in the year thats all well and good for office staff that dont deploy.
Last year I was on PDT for 6 months and then deployed for 6 months. During PDT we managed to squeeze in a 15 days leave. If i was posted when I returned to the UK I would loose a significant amount of leave for service reasons, hardly reasonable?0 -

Just a couple of points...
1. I know how leave works.
2. I said you should never LOSE (not loose) any leave, as you should take when you leave your present Unit and before you join your new one.
As I have said in previous posts, even if you can't take leave, you should still submit it on JPA and allow it to be declined/rejected for Service Reasons and this will strength your case, if you need to complain about losing leave.
And by the way, I DO deploy!0 -

Hold on there buddy why the hostility? I didnt say you didnt deploy or question your ability to understand the leave process! Clerk are we?
The reason why leave applications should be submitted and declined is to strengthen the case for having leave in excess of 15 days carried over - for service reasons and not bad personal admin. Complaining about it wont actually make a difference.
If your picking up on typo's perhaps you can explain point 2 in proper England? Cheers.0 -
So what is the Reference for this then?
I am a Clerk and I haven't seen anything or even heard anyone mention it until now.Fergie76
