I ordered my Apollo through Quidco a few days ago but it's out of stock at the moment. If I chase them up by phone, will it invalidate my Quidco cashback? (It has tracked).Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0

Received the LG Optimus today. I really really wanted the Apollo but I have to say, I'm very impressed with the LG :-)
Great thread!
I am inclined to agree, despite my initial concerns, it is a pretty good phone. I'm pleasantly surprised and I may keep it"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

Got the first bill, over 15 quid! They had charged delivery, which she immediately removed, but wouldn't budge on the £10.21 a month. She went to check with her manager, and he was adamant it was a redemption offer through quidco and nothing to do with them. I did say it was a web offer, and they could see I'd ordered online, but she couldn't do owt without her managers say so and said she wasn't allowed to put me through to the web team!
Called again, got put through to the correct people immediately, bill corrected within seconds. Why oh why can't they train their managers at least, even if the info doesn't filter to all the call centre staff?0 -

That's pretty poor isn't it. I took a screen shot of the page where it says 'save £5 a month for 12 months' on T-Mobile's order page which hopefully I could use as proof, but the amount of people I've read about who are having problems is terrible.
I haven't received my Apollo yet, it's supposed to be 7-10 days from date of order.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -
I'm tempted to cancel mine now, and sign up again under the simpler £150 cashback offer
Maybe the threat of us all doing that, and sending them back used phones might prompt them into sorting the offer out.52% tight0 -
Well, I'm not impressed. I was told on the 28th June that although the Samsung Galaxy Apollo was out of stock, they would be back in within 7-10 days. When I asked if that was definite, I was told yes, it was. I thought I would give them a ring to find out if there was any news and was just told they are 99.9% definite there will be no more in! What a shambles, enough to put you off going with T-Mobile for life! Grrrr....
Edit: I just phoned again to see if I could speak to someone else & the girl said that no, they had no more Samsung Apollos as Samsung have stopped making them, so that's that. Off to look for another phone now and I will make sure it's not on T-Mobile's network as they obviously can't get their act together, judging by the amount of people I've read about whose bills are wrong!
I've been reading the reviews for the LG Optimus One and there are lots of negative ones, which has put me right off as it would be a 24 month contract, so I won't be going for that one.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -
What reviews have you read? I'd be interested to see them. On paper the Apollo and LG were pretty much the same, and I too had reservations about the LG mostly regarding build quality but after having mine for a couple of days I'm very happy with it. Root, put a modded 2.3 ROM on it and it's blisteringly fast0

Soton , when I get mine you will have to explain this "modded 2.3 ROM" stuff to me,my first Android phone so its all a bit new.0

I'd be more than happy to, in the mean time have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=839
It's pretty techy but then most people buying an android phone would be 'techy' I'd have thought!0
