I use Traffic Counter, lets me see what I've used easily via a home screen widget. The pro version has better looking widgets, but costs £1.79.

They just called me to offer the optimus one, but I was distracted by various children, and said could I wait a few days and see if they get the apollo back in stock. They'll get back to me in a few days, or I can call if I decide on the optimus, I suppose.

Hmm, I may know someone for you to swap with! Gavin has been sent the Apollo, but I think the Optimus will be better for him as it has a car mount. Will ask him.

I ordered last night about 10pm and used Quidco for the first time. Nothing is tracking yet - is that normal or should I be worried? Is it possible to do it wrong?!?!? I'm panicking now that this is going to cost me £80 more!

I got email from quidco yesterday and this is their headline deal. Why, when everyone knows it was out of stock days ago? How rude, to waste people's time like that :( I suppose they just assume that people will take any android phone they are offered.

My teenager is still shrugging his shoulders and doesn't care about getting an android phone. He is perfectly happy with his old brick with its cracked screen. Husband thinks it's too good a deal to pass up.

My husband looked into it a bit last night but I've forgotten what he said. What's your GF being sent?

This is a fab deal for kids who want a touchscreen phone, but at the moment my son is adamant that he does not. He even said that when his current one breaks he would like a second hand brick off ebay. There's no arguing with a teenager!

My nephew wants one, but I am not prepared to take the chance of an 11 year old going over his minutes when it's my bank account being used :rotfl:

Well my GF has now received the phone, and is jealous! She thinks her son will want to keep it, and her brother said he's just going to keep the apollo (despite a sat nav being very useful for him). On paper the LG is better, and my GF says it looks a lot better in the flesh than on the photos. Just being android 2.2 is a big bonus, as you can install all your apps to your SD card which means you have loads more space.

I'll be heading over after work, so if anyone is interested I could post a review?

    Please do :)

I think my husband is itching to play with a new toy, but he has a wildfire already :)

A few apps you may want to consider:

    WaveSecure
    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.wsandroid&feature=more_from_developer
If this is for a child I'd seriously recommend wavesecure, it allows you to remotely track and lock the phone in case it is stolen and also tells you when new SIM cards are put in (along with their phone number). I suppose you can also track your child!

    SwiftKey
    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey.phone.trial&feature=search_result
A much better keyboard than most, great thing about android is you can easily swap between them.

    Quickmark QR Reader
    https://market.android.com/details?id=tw.com.quickmark&feature=search_result
    Reads QR codes and barcodes

    Dropbox
    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dropbox.android&feature=search_result
Amazing bit of software, allows you to browse files on your dropbox directly from your phone. If you don't have a dropbox account then I suggest getting one, its like a free 2Gb memory stick that lives online and synchronises between any PCs you choose. If a friend refers you then you both get an extra 250Mb too, but I won't post a referral code as I think its against the T&Cs.

ES File Explorer (poss replaces dropbox?)
    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&feature=search_result
A much better file explorer for your android, allows full access to the SD card. There is also File Expert (https://market.android.com/details?id=xcxin.filexpert&feature=related_apps) which allows you to get web or FTP access to your phone from your PC.

    Traffic Counter
    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.carl.trafficcounter&feature=more_from_developer
Mentioned before, lets you track your phone usage and get it to warn you when you are running low. Am sure there are better ones, but this is my favourite so far.
