Dunno mate, twas my GF dealing with this as its for her son. They did say she can just send the LG back if they don't like it, and they'd try to find something else.

Someone said earlier that LG phones have poor battery life.

Battery is actually better on the LG than the Samsung, for everything except calling on 2G. I've used tmobile for 18 months and we were rarely without a 3G signal, so it should be the same for you as you don't live that far away. Specs for the 2 phones here:

EDIT: Actually, is that the Apollo? There seems to be an I5800 and an I5801, both of which I have heard called the Apollo? Saying that the specs look the same I think? I dunno!

Yep, the i5800/i5801 is the Apollo, is also the Samsung Galaxy 3.

They just called me to offer the optimus one, but I was distracted by various children, and said could I wait a few days and see if they get the apollo back in stock. They'll get back to me in a few days, or I can call if I decide on the optimus, I suppose.
