Drowning with Dolphins

who would you return it to as Dolphin was no longer trading and the administrators would not want it.
the administrators were good at getting some fitters to finish off the work as in most cases this would not happen and you would have been left with an half finished bathroom.
call your CC company and see if they would honour the guarantee
That wouldn't have made much of difference, I'd be pretty sure it would be the credit card company who would have to take responsibility for that. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

normally when a business goes into administration you are no longer allowed to return items to the stores, you have to contact the administrator direct on what to do.
you cant return goods to your CC company, can you image going into your bank and in the queue is someone with some clothes they purchased from a business that went bust to return then as they are faulty.
i think this is just another usless reply from Flyboy0 -

Why would who I returned it to have been any problem of mine to resolve? Under Section 75 I would have been entitled to a refund would I not for the fact that the company had not supplied the goods AND services that had been paid for? If the administrators wanted to take the stuff back - after all it's an asset and would have had some value towards the company's creditors - then they could have done that.
Or is Section 75 something that you can make use of if nothing has been delivered but once stuff has physically arrived (even though it's not been installed) you're scuppered simply because there'd be nobody to receive it back when the company breached their contract?
That wasn't my understanding of the law, but this is why I'm here asking for peoples views on it.
I completely agree that you wouldn't expect a bank to take the stuff (again, this is obvious) but why did we not get the option (for example) of keeping the stuff, refunding the fit, and then getting the bathroom stuff fitted by another contractor who could have provided a guarantee?0 -

There is no need for insults.
I think you ought to try behaving like a grown-up, before conversing with others. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
...they are largely correct though, as you do come out with a lot of irrelevant nonsense!
Well now, if there was ever a perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black, we have it here. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
...so you agree you talk pish? Remind us, have you been PPR'd for your previous posts?
I think you need to review your understanding of the idiom. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
