please help I feel like a monkey going through my hair! my little boy came home with nits this week  I've put hedrin on him and combed him within an inch if his life bless him. found about 4 big !!!!!!s on him crawling yeuch. anyway he's still got eggs in his hair that the comb is not picking up, I'm pulling them out with my nails but there are loads. started scratching again last night after also doing myself with hedrin and found some more  they are so small but are deffo there, how do I get rid of the eggs. I've used a metal comb from boots which seems to miss them completely so now using the plastic one with a big and little side. please help

tea tree shampoo & conditioner is supposed to reduce the chances of catching headlice, my daughter was like a 5* hotel to them- the best thing we could find was an electric lice comb this zaps the little blighters & we found it killed them immediately - it does need to be used every day though.
Just reading your post is making my head itchproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0 -
I know it's awful, this is only the second time he's got them to be fair but I never had before! well apart from at school obviously, found another one this morning on me  but it's tiny so I think I have more but the comb is missing them! usually use tea tree obviously didn't work this time yeuch.0

I've found the plastic ones only get the big bugs out, Can I recommend a Nitty Gritty comb. My children have all been infested at some point since starting school, and these combs while expensive (about £10) last forever (they sell them in Boots), they've got special spiral prongs and get the eggs out, which is the main thing. My lot now get a whizz through with it every night just in case...i'm itching now too...

cheap conditioner and a nitty gritty comb i find is the best coz they get the eggs out as well as the biddys
normal nit combs teeth are too far apart, the nitty gritty teeth are very close together and they are texured to grab the biddys and the eggs and pull em outIf we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

I caught them off my daughter before so dont worry. At the time I was 9 months pregnant with my son and was desperate to get rid of them before having to go into hospital, didn't want to leave them any pressies:eek:
I found the best way was the conditioner and comb method, and i done this to myself twice a day. Tea tree conditioner as they hate the smell.
Hopefully they will all be gone from you soon.:beer:0 -
thanks I'll try and get one today, I'm of to work in a while, have to tell all of my mates to stay away from me lol0
