Exactly the same here. It's a joke to convict drivers who are genuinely getting out of the way of an emergency vehicle, but as the convictions will stick I won't be moving through that red light.

I bet your the type who would argue the opposite side if you thought the police took too long getting to you. Emergency crews (Ambo/Fire/Police) all put there own lives at risk on a daily basis for people they dont know for a job they love and believe in. I really hope you never need an emergency service in a hurry!

If this was aimed at me I'll just clear it up. I've not said what I would do, just pointed out that you can be prosecuted for going through a red light.... emergency services on blue lights isn't a cast iron defence!

To be fair I don't think anyone here has an issue with going through a red light to let services through.... the Government do! It wouldn't take any time at all to change the law to allow for this kind of situation.

Totally agreed mate, if common sense was used this country (and probably the whole world) it would be a better place to live. :T:T:T



Although if we want to be cynical, they produce to much revenue to be removed lol
