Thank you all so much for your input and ideas...especially love the pics of your bathrooms

Ukmaggie I seem to have spent last two weeks in every local tile shop, I change my mind every visit! I think we will eventually choose some so of natural stone, like the sound of applestone, will have a search.
Tile sizing, Walls versus floors tile sizes are confusing...I think I would normally put a larger tile on the floor than the Walls...
yes I have a few samples:)0 -
OH went to house today and took some more photos of the bathroom. I think this one gives a better idea of the applestone tiles - they are porcelain, not stone. We still haven't swabbed them down to take off the last bits of powdery grout left
, maybe next week.

Mirror was only put up last Wednesday, and I still haven't seen it in place "in the flesh".
But was there with OH for the placement of it on the wall.
This picture shows the layout a bit better maybe, but it's actually a bit out of focus on bigger sizes. And it shows the vinyl "tile" size too. We had a lot of difficulty choosing the vinyls for the different rooms too - same issues as choosing the tiles I guess! :rotfl:

PS I really don't like the offsetting of tiles like bricks - but that's just a personal thing. So our tiles are as you see, lined up vertically.0
