I was given only one option so far

Why don't you try it to see if it works, then if it doesn't you can ask for more options?

Just phone them and tell them your ticket has "mrs" instead of "mr" on it, and tell them you're 99.99% sure you got it right when booking, as obviously you're pretty sure you have a penis rather than boobs, so could they change it.

I had "Mrs" on my instead of "Miss" a few years ago with a Ryanair flight, and they didn't notice...
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Are you able to change this at the airport or do they need so much notice?

If so, you could try get away with it, if you get caught pay the £100 to change it.

It's not just the £100 you have to pay though. You have to pay any difference in the ticket price, which on the day of travel may be astronomical. Usually it's cheaper to get another ticket.

But Mishomeister, do have a look at the TA air travel forum. They say it's no problem. They also say Ryan says it's no problem. A telephone call to Ryan will probably reassure you.

Well the gender of Mrs and Miss is the same, so that's totally different than my situation

Phone 0871 246 0000 (10p a minute) and politely explain the problem and they`ll change it FOC.

They'll probably keep you on hold for a 1000 minutes first though :D

    5 minutes according this thread:

It must be my lucky day... after being on hold for around 5 minutes, a perfectly pleasant agent answered the phone and made the spelling change without any fuss or charge. Thank goodness!

I think if you phone them and explain the error they should change it either FOC or for a small fee. My friend accidentally put herself down as nationality 'Afganistan' instead of 'Uk' (thought she'd clicked the box) and they corrected it FOC for her.

I did a change of name too which did cost £100 - in this case I was travelling instead of someone else who had become ill so it was a full change of passenger info rather than an amendment.

Call them and be very apologetic and polite, manners in these circumstances goes a long way.

Just in case, it would also be worth double checking the cost to book a new flight if necessary (though I would guess with all the additional charges it would add up to more than £100)

Did you not read who the airline is?
