  • Hi, has anyone actually received a call directly from the administrators to definitively complete their kitchen? Their 5 - 10 working days has gone in my case...

Cazsimps Hubby here (OP) We contacted the Administrators as soon as they were made known and they have since written back stating they will be ensuring the fit will be completed once they have managed to source the outstanding materials.

Again, 5-10 days was given as the timeframe which is just about up after this weekend.

THE Moben Kitchens and Sharps bedroom showroom in Main Street, Milngavie, is the latest victim of the slowdown on the high street and a depressed housing market.
The store has closed after the parent company of Moben Kitchens, Homeform Group Limited, went into administration with Deloitte on June 23.
It’s understood the Milngavie store is one of 30 of 160 showrooms in the UK to close which could result in 1,300 job losses.
Phil Bowers, joint administrator and partner in Deloitte’s restructuring services team, said: “The business has suffered from the extreme pressures currently hitting retailers of high value items, as customers shy away from big ticket purchases such as kitchen and bathrooms.
“We achieved a deal with Sharps Bedrooms which secures 627 jobs and also ensures that the new business is able to complete Sharps customer orders. A number of sub-contract fitters and designers may also benefit from the sale.
“We are now in urgent discussions with the key stakeholders and interested parties of Moben, Dolphin and Kitchens Direct in an attempt to sell all or parts of the businesses. We have written to all the employees with briefings to help them understand their position.”
