Moben in administration

Can anyone state how I stand legally re my Moben order? We placed an order about 2 weeks ago (fortunately only handing over a very small deposit), and had agreed a delivery date in late July, which we assume will not happen.
Funnily enough, given everything that has happened and everything we have since read about them, we don't want anything more to do with Moben. We have tried emailing and phoning but obviously with no success.
We know we are past our cooling off period, does anyone know where we stand on cancelling this order, and whether we are liable to any prospective buyer or if a restructured Moben somehow limps on? Have administrators (? Deloittes) even been appointed yet?
Thanks in advance!0 -

did they give you a date for fitting? if so wait for them not to turn up, breach of contract. I really can not see Moben carrying on at all in any way. all aspects of business will be transfered to kitchens direct who you never signed a contract with. I would get on to bank for debit charge back asapHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks.
They did give us a fitting date of July 25th so I guess we will wait for that date to pass and then move on.
Out of interest, any idea how companies (like Wren) are confident enough to take on Moben customers, before Moben have formally gone into administration? Do all contracts become null and void when a company gives notice of intent to go into administration? If not, then surely there could potentially be some customers stuck with 2 contracts and a bit of a mess.0 -
I am also missing walnut doors for the Sumatra kitchen, if you have any luck getting the name of the supplier please let us know, it sounds like there are a few of us chasing the same doors

Hi there. Does anybody know the contact details for the Moben administrator? I was supposed to have a kitchen fitted next week (should have been delivered on Tuesday, but obviously didn't turn up). I paid deposit on CC and have CC company chasing that. I stopped Direct Debit for finance just in case and they got hold of me by letter, so I phoned them today. Finance company don't even know that Moben is in administration! They told me I have to contact Moben to get details of Administrator and Administrator has to contact them in order for the contract to be cancelled, but of course, trying to get hold of Moben is impossible so I'm at a loss. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!0

really feel for all those involved in this - the employees especially and hope that all of you that are missing things get it sorted - we wanted a kitchen making - there is a chap that does a little bit now and then to tide himself off - used to do it on a big scale but leukemia hit - he sold his saw mill and now just does a bit and therefore keeps his costs down massively - unfortunatley (for me) he is booked up until next year and I sadly cant wait that long - kitchen is dropping to bits and have got new appliances sat waiting - after reading this post I am thinking where the heck do I go - not only can I not get one made (cant afford the normal prices of bespoke) but where to go and who to trust now - keep wondering about Ikea although not overly keen on any particular range in there - tis a scary world at the mo!!!0

Feel for most people involved in this. For those awaiting doors suggest just waiting till the shysters resurrect Kitchens Direct which it seems they will, who I am certain will be happy to sell you doors you have already paid for.
For those awaiting fits that will now, for sure, not happen, Magnet, John Lewis or many independents will sell kitchens of similar quality or better at a similar price point.
For a bit less, Wickes/Benchmarx (same kitchens,Wickes flat pack, Benchmarx pre-assembled) are nearly as good but not colour coded inside.
Ikea are lower end really (hardboard back panels) , and a bit of an oddity in that their cabinets are full depth with no service gap so any pipework is visible inside the cupboards. However they do guarantee their units for 25 years, by far the longest at that end of the marketplace.
Best of luck to all involved. Feel sorry for both staff and customers let down by idiotic management. Hated their sales tactics though.0
