Looking to get third party, fire and theft policy, but windscreen cover is optional. Currently with admiral it's £12.95.
Is it worth getting considering repair/replacements costs I have seen are around £70-£150?

Heated screen for my car is £600.
£12.95 for the cover but whats the excess? A windscreen claim will be recorded against your policy so may affect your
premium later on.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Depends on the cost to replace your windscreen. Mine last on average about 6 years, before all the stone chips eventually join up, and I need to replace them.
Having said that, tpf&t usually works out dearer than fully comp with most insurers now.0 -
£12.75 to £75-£150 what do you think. It's a no brainer.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

Since when? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

What is the cost for fully comprehensive? Often, there is little difference in the two.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
I've had 2 screens in the last 3 years, one car and one van (last week). The cover is worth having I would say.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Since when?
Probably since people added windscreen cover because they knew they needed a new windscreen fitted. And most likely around the same time windscreens became a part of the MOT.
Similar way now quite a few of the insurance companies are charging for the stonechip repairs. Advertised as usually free on the TV. But mine charge £20 for it.£12.75 to £75-£150 what do you think. It's a no brainer.
Not so clear cut when the excesss maybe £100.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Admiral windscreen replacement excess is £70, chip repairs are free. I am with admiral and found that it was only about £8 more if I got fully comp with max excess rather than TPFT. Thus for the extra £8 you're getting windscreen cover, legal cover and a few other things.0
