We are somehow still debating the rights and wrongs of a sign outside the window at post #51 after 3 pages.

I've not been able to get past the idea that an estate agents' board is a lethal weapon (post #7).

Unsightly or not, I will never look at those dangerous things in the same way again ;)

You have misquoted me in an attempt to mislead.

Your argument is clearly becoming even more desperate.

I am asking you not to misquote me further.

You might want to inform your neighbour that if they wanted a flat without boards in the grounds they should have bought a flat where they are banned.
Or a house... with a private garden.... Idiots. The day will come when they want to sell. I only hope another sale board Nazi is in residence at that time, too.

I can't stand EA boards cluttering up blocks of flats, and if buying would be that much less inclined to buy one where it happened. Not saying if this is the case here, or commenting on the legal position; just my personal opinion.

Also, if you really want to get away from the nosy neighbour, be careful not to begin a dispute that would have to be declared to a buyer. I would be inclined to keep my head down, sell the flat, then sign up the neighbour to endless junk mail six months from now.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.
    Been away for a while.

Oh this morning we are now debating degrees of "OUTSIDE the window"??

Insomuch as members here present find themselves for the motion "the (leaseholder of this) house (flat) believes that the roadside is not 'OUTSIDE the window' and that all manner of sponsored estate agency clutter is permitted in the universe OUTSIDE the window so long as it is in no way principally associated with any window in particular and so long as it represents estate agency best practice", all in favour please say 'aye' ...

But wait, that estate agents best practice bit is something of a contradiction in terms in itself, right, unless it relates to the practice of a neatly place sign INSIDE the window of the flat for sale? Wouldn't that be best?

Again, desperately clinging to the very specific statement about not physically putting signs on the outside of a window, of which this thread is not about.

Again, I ask you refrain from misquoting me in order to twist your argument.

In addition, I think you have made your stance perfectly clear despite the facts provided and I acknowledge your viewpoint and I do not believe you need to keep repeating yourself any further.

Thank you to everyone else for their replies, factual or humorous, all welcomed!

I shall update the thread once the next chapter of the [STRIKE]lethal weapon[/STRIKE] For Sale sign unfolds.
