    asda took the coupon against the refills ,not just the machine,making them free ,as only £2.97 :j

    I have had to get someone to remove 3 of these soap things while still almost full,as the batteries had run out.............well,you would not want to touch them,would you?

    Got mine from Sainsbury's very happy kids now only using half the amount they usually do so lasting a lot longer than the normal pump action one's

    here's the youtube vid showing how to do it...I think it's much easier if you insert the knife , then lever it to "pop the lid" in the middle at the front as this girl does, there's possibly less chance of deforming the lid....enjoy...

    BTW...Lysol is what they call Dettol in the USA...

    The amount of effort some people go to, to refill them...

    The easiest way I've found is to submerge the 'lid' in boiling/hot water - the sides sort of flex and this enables you to pull it apart with your hand, giving you access to the much wider hole.

    It looks like it won't fit back into the dispenser, but it does! You only have to submerge it once as the plastic cools in the new position.

  • I used a butter knife, but it started to damage the lid, so swapped to a desert spoon - sorted! :D

    If the lid does get damaged after a few 'self refils' then I am happy to pay for a new refill. Just don't want to pay every single time :)
