While that customer was a real a$$, it sounds like the staff weren't much better. They could just tell her it's one per customer. What's more, Sainbury's isn't out the money, they are selling one of the intended product for each coupon used and they get the money back for that coupon from Dettol. They really aren't being fair keeping other customers from getting that offer because of one greedy person.

At my local Sainsbury's (a small one), they don't even have a sale price up on this system, it says 9.99 (though it rings up at 4.99 for those who got a tip from MSE). Don't know if that's to discourage customers buying it who might use a coupon (um, so what if they do? And what about the customers who wanted to buy it at the sale price without a coupon?), or just general inefficiency in signing sale items.

Sainsburys is still on till the 16th iirc try using two vouchers, they let me

Sainsburys have the Dettol no touch Hand Wash system down to £5.00, Plus you can use the £3.00 off coupon to get it for £2.00.

Sainsburys still have them half price until 16th August (i just got the last silver coloured one in my local Sainsburys today but they had loads of the white left) , and so do Morrisons until Mid Sept-so with the coupon they are 1.99:)
