I spent 33p this morning on 2 bananas and a bag of sliced carrots. After work I spent £1.50 on a bag of each of oranges, lemons and chillis. I then went to Cooplands and bought a pasty and a cake! For £2.27! I was doing so well. :(

So my total spend today was £4.10.
  • I was doing so well on my budget but then discovered that I had a friend comming for dinner, so spent £19.99 :( on three bottles of wine and odds and ends last night and as it is the last day of holidays for me today I treated my daughter to a burger meal, another $5.35 out of my food budget!:(

Spent €44.30 to-day, bringing my total spend this month to €71.34, need to keep down the spend for a bit to make it the right side of my budget at end of month.

Freakyogre- I bought the basics teabags last week i was waiting for someone to say the tea was awful- nobody seems to have noticed. I didn't like it at first but I'm getting used to it now- bargain and fairtrade.

    Thanks for your reply :)

It's only me here, so I know that they're cheaper ones (which doesn't bother me). They're seem fine so far, so they might become a regular buy.

£2.18 spent today in Lidl on eggs, a pineapple and some crumpets.

Didnt need to go shopping but thought Tesco`s mince BOGOF too good to pass up so bought 10packs, wont need any mince now for the rest of the year, also found their long life milk to be much cheaper than Asda so bought 6 litres. So a £16 spend. but still within my budget so very pleased.

Have spent £24.10 in total this week

another £21.35 to declare for this week. Good news though, I dug up quite a few potatoes in the garden today :) and I used up some frozen mashed potato that I'd had in the freezer for ages.

So my new total £45.45 for August so far. Hope everyone is doing well. x
