I know now that she has to fork out for the kennels and I feel really bad.
Well the kennels weren't going to be free, were they?My Wins: £150 Next giftcard. Rimmel Lip Gloss, Benefit Lipstick and lipgloss. Rimmel Day2Night mascara. Elizabeth Arden Body Treatment Cream. So you knew they were short of cash so you put the dog in a kennel. You could have put the dog in a room that could not be damaged, any dog being moved from it's home environment would stressed - and when you are stressed, don't you go to the loo more? It's a dog though, it needs to go when it needs to go. Maybe the door is open all the time at home. Maybe you were not there enough.
You put the dog in a kennel just because it was having accidents. Because the dog was stressed? It's probably even more stressed now.
You'd not be a friend of mine any longer. And you text her? Why not try calling? Did you never consider her phone might not be working over there or had run out of battery. Or that the text might not arrive? If the battery runs out you cannot get the message can you? So unless you sent the message to all 7 other mobiles, how was she supposed to get your message if her phone battery was dead.
I am pretty sure you'll have one less Xmas card to write this year though. Thought long and hard, how long for? An hour? She trusted you, you let her down. Whats more she'll have to pay for kenneling she probably does not have the money for.
I am not sure what you are asking here. Did you do the right thing? IMO, No.0 -
I think you should pay for the kennel to be honest. My Wins: £150 Next giftcard. Rimmel Lip Gloss, Benefit Lipstick and lipgloss. Rimmel Day2Night mascara. Elizabeth Arden Body Treatment Cream. question to OP...... if you got a new dog, and it kept messing... would you get rid or perservere?
Please say perservere... the people that get rid of animals that quick for something like that rile me.
Ive seen neighbours around me doing this, and not just once either.... so unfair on the animal.Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -

I'd say a pretty big contribution to it at a minimum and I have to say, I'd be absolutely furious.
However, she obviously got your text as she phoned to say she couldn't reply - what did she say about it then?- Have you used the kennels before?
- Do you know that they're good?
- Have you visited the dog to make sure it's OK?
- How much is it per day?
- If she's skint (and you know that), how on earth is she going to pay for it?

Going to agree with that!
If someone has pets then IMHO they should include the costs of kenneling/cattery as part of their "holiday expenses" if they do not have someone willing and able to look after them. (Even if this is the case, you never know if that person may be ill and unable to care for them at the last minute so you may still need to fork out).
However, once you've agreed to look after someone's pet, you can't just change your mind once they go away!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
