Moral dilemma - what to do?

How long have they been at that address?
I'm going to be honest and say I'd hold onto it for a month or two, depending how long I'd lived in the house and keep it if it wasn't claimed.
I would feel no better for giving it to charity and I would not worry about karma in the slightest!
Tbh I believe that is what most people would do. They will tell us different and may even believe they'd give it to a good cause, but most would never get round to donating it.0 -
Innocent question, why don't senders of letters/cards put their name & address on the back of the envelope? (As is the case in countries I've lived in)0

I usually put my postcode, with house number in brackets after it, on the back of the envelope.
I've often wondered the same though.0 -
Quite honestly, if I had no finding out the birthday boy's address I would keep it.
I wouldn't feel bad about it - its only a tenner.The opposite of what you know...is also true0 -

It's the little things in life that make it better for us all. Do a little research and I'm sure you'll be able to discover who was there before and where they are now. Call it a little project. When you succeed you'll feel great.
Many years ago we had an envelope delivered at our address with an unknown name on the front, sent from the Carriabean. I opened it and there was a Birthday card inside with a $50 bill. I took time out to trace the real recipient, (she lived nearby), and gave her the card and money. Every time we saw her after that she stopped and chatted. A few months later my Mother sent the kids some money in a card, but to the wrong number on the same street. The guy who got the envelope tracked us down and gave us the envelope, and I'll never forget it. Karma does exist.Pants0 -
Not one to lie & say "I'd give it to charity" when I had no intention of doing so these days! so I'd buy myself & Dh a takeaway with it.0
