They were to stories in the Mail and The Sun yes ...
They were links to people all "refugees" and dubious asylum seekers on many times the capped rate of £400 a week housing benefit.

I think the problem might be that the Coalition ARE presenting these cases as typical.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

I did say earlier that 5 children seemed to many to me. But some people on here see things so black and white peoples circumstances change and it not always possible to save for a rainy day. Also I think people might be surprised at how difficult it can be to get a job if the skills you have are no longer useful.0 -

They seem to be convincing a lot of people. I don’t think any one would try to defend those examples but there are a small minority. The average award for a couple with children is £104 a week.0
