Evening everyone
hismummy well done on your total, so happy you had a fab holiday. Same again nexr year?
Right the rest of you. You've only got 9 days to go, so stop all this nonsense of wanting to open your pots, step away from them pots and resist temptation (I'm only saying this because my spreadsheet hasn't been updated with our newest members
ferriswheeljunkie & Sue DW and I have confession to make. We're going to New York a year early (thanks to the O/T) just can't stay away from that town, I'd move there tomorrow if I could, we're off there in FebruaryFWJ have you been before? If you haven't let me know & I'll tell you some great places to go to.
Jakes-mum good luck to your DH and hopefully he'll get a full time position out of it, again keeping my fingers crossed
Back to business! £2 into the pot for me tonight as usual
Don't forget folk's update your signatures as you declare your totals as it helps me to populate the spreadsheet for the grand total & Sue's reward for all her hard work and keeping everyone in line is she gets to announce the grand total (usually a few days after the 1st, it's not my fault, I'm only human!)

Oh
Forgot to say, if you have a HSBC account some of the larger branches have coin machines that count the change for you and then put the amount into your account just after close of business. Put £1.70 in the pot today, not had anything to put in it past few days as had NSD. I know it doesn't count here as I started the pot last month before joining but that money took me over the £50 mark in the pot. The first time in my 55 years I have ever saved £50 - I would usually save maybe £5 and spend it so am very, very pleased with myself and hope not to spend it till I go to book flights to Melbourne in 2013.Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

Ooh, I'd better stock up on money bags too! I've been living in a dream world until now, I imagined I'd either spend it all instead of withdrawing from my account, take it with me as payment for my passport or pay it all into my OH's account (one of the local banks has one of those coin counter thingies and he loves it). But I suppose I should get some bags just incaseThank you competition posters!

Hiya all, I would love to join your thread if i may. I know there is only 9 days left but i thought by joining i might do better next year
I bought one of those sealed tins from the £1 shop 12 weeks ago and i have been saving £1,£2 and a few £5 notes.
All my other change goes into my kids treat jar so we all get to go to the cinema or bowling so wont be counting that.
The money will be going towards all the christmas food and drink i buy for my family coming on christmas day.
Cant wait to find out how much i have managed to save in 12 weeks the wait is killing me.
I will have to buy a new tin for the 2nd, I really think these tins are the way forward for me because i am a rubbish saver but i also have a rubbish tin opener so there is no way of sneeking the money once its in so i am really looking forward to the challange.
Good luck all keep potting xBaby Due Date 30/01/ 2013
