I have been looking for this thread as seen the sealed pot mentioned in peoples sig. I want to join please. I have actually been throwing my change in a pot that counts what you put in - picked up in a sale for £2 a few years ago but usually emptied as fast as anything is put in but since October I have put £49.82 in - I put in all coins but hubby will only part with his copper for it, so really its a joint effort, just more effort on my part For me this is a bigger as never managed to save and keep anything longer than a two weeks before and I am 55, but now I have my oldest sons wedding in March 2014 to attend, wouldn't be so expensive except is he now lives in Melbourne so somehow have to save about £5k for flights, hotel, travelling round ( likely to be our ownly visit and we hope to stay 4 - 6 weeks to really see the place) so lots of savings to do. I hope to fill the jar then take it to the bank and open a savings account especially for it - now that really would be something......a dream at moment but one if I really try with all the help here I know I can do.
