  • I put in the entire contents of my purse £7.60 into the larger of my 2 sealed moneypots. (I had to get £10 from Mr T when I did a small shop which I think got larger:mad::o) so feeling very strange.
I have another moneypot which counts the change you put in it running at £2.60 which is accessible.
I hope I can [learn] to make Challenge and capitalise on any underspends which I am very good at when I am intent on projects that require me to save money for.:money::eek::eek:

  • Cashed it all in yesterday. The poor coin machine needed 4 gos to get through it all - it kept slamming its little door shut as if to say "Enough!"

Grand total from this year: £191.70, which buys me a new tablet, and takes a nice chunk out of Call Of Duty when I pick it up on Monday night. A replacement pot took up the £1.70 nicely (I use the tins that you have to destroy to get into - if I can't count it, I'm not tempted to spend it!)

Sealed Pot 5 has already taken its first donations!

Welcome Jayne. The rules are pretty simple. Get yourself a pot (any pot) and put all your spare change into it. The big count up is 1st December every year and we all declare how much we saved during the year. Sparky keeps a tally of the totals (he's on holiday at the mo) and Sue-UU keeps us all in check (she'll be along shortly to allocate you a number). once you get your number post it in your signature as you'll need it to declare your amount.

You are very welcome to start straight away. Welcome to the SPC

I was planning to wait until December, but it's being used for treats for me. Two of those are games that are released in October/November, and one is a tablet that I'm buying off a friend, so I jumped ship a little early. Otherwise I'd have been buying my treats with 'real' money, then having to use the pot to pay off the card, which just feels wrong.

Sealed Pot 5 won't be touched until December next year though.

  • Hello everyone

I'm a newbie to MSE as of now but have been lurking about the challenges for a while, feeling very inspired to join in - so here goes!

I have a small pot started already (haven't counted it yet) but want to get bigger and better at it - I think paper mache is the way forward :D

I have credit card debt to pay (DFD April 2012) so any help there would be ace, but also making Christmas easier would be lovely too.

    Thank you,
    Palmarosa x
