well im really narked off today! When it rains it blinking poures in this house
My whole life is in limbo at the minute, waiting for the government to make a decision about ESA as if they get their way my ESA will stop in April as im on contribution based ESA and DH works too many hours to entitle me to the Income related. Also DH is an agency worker and they've now brought in this new law about earning the same as employees after 12 weeks, but his previous time doesnt count so he could basically work the next 12 weeks and on 21st December they say 'thank you very much see you later'
I suppose the only up side is that if DH was laid off I would then be entitiled to Income Related ESA, i mean could they make it any more blinking ironic??SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Oh dear Jakes-mum sorry to hear about that. Seems ridiculous doesn't it. I don't even want to think about when they change family allowance payments. Will make a huge difference to us if they stop it if you earn over (can't remember how much now). This money is what I use for music lessons, swimming lessons and sports club payments and not forgetting shoes at over £30 a pair. With 3 kids that is £100 for decent school shoes! As my gran used to say "buy cheap, buy two!" How true is that saying.
Chin up hopefully things will turn out ok.:)[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

It's never too late to join us, beth111, happy67 and kerrirobberts. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving.
You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. Pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.
kerrirobberts, you wish to join us with your pot, yes? I hope so as I've already given you a number! If you could let me know for sure I'd be grateful.
I'll give you "Our Staff Sargeant" jakes-mum!
Some smashing words of welcome to our new friends, folks, really lovely.
You're welcome e4rub. I'll be doing the same this year too, for next year's holiday as we couldn't have one this year.
Hi sparky, just wondering about you and your scooter - any trips out this summer or haven't you had chance with your OT?
Aww LC2, you painted a beautiful picture of you and your little GS making cupcakes, magic! :A
Flat Eric, of course you're welcome to carry on saving til next December, just be proud you had it there on the 2 occasions you needed it. Well done for 'leaning' on hubby too!!! Could you kindly pop the amount you saved on your sig as it'll still go into the whole Total.
Try not to worry too much, jakes-mum, though I don't think the collaberation (coalition, my foot ) could make up their minds about anything much soon, but there's usually blue clouds that follow the darker times. Chin up, it may all go through ok. Here's hoping things will pick up soon. Love and hugs, Sue x :kisses3:
Your dear gran was quite right too, mumof3plusoh, it ain't going to be easy at all. I know they said it would be rough, but to my mind they keep widening those bally goal posts when they THINK we've started to forget. Think of a more vulgar name for the plural of pigs - suits them perfectly!!!!
What a beautiful day! Washing dried perfectly with the wind and sun.
Same as always then folks...keep safe and well and keep right on saving!
