I've been using blue and a lovely emerald green colour for a few years now (not together lol). I just use them under my lower lashes and use a smudger with a grey/black colour then smudge the grey/black colour over the top lashes.

I can't wear purple although I'd love to - it makes me look ill.

Polesalot that's how I tend to wear mine, I do a line under the lashes and then I'll put some on the upper corner and smudge it across the lid so there's a bit of colour on the top as well. It makes me feel quite summery as I tend to normally wear quite boring colours - greys and browns with black liner.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend and been enjoying the gorgeous weather. I've been lazy with my shred but have managed a walk each day so guess that's something - must get back on the vid today though! Weighed myself on Saturday and have lost 11lbs this month so far, as well as an inch off my tummy and 1/2 inch each of arms and things - so am a happy bunny :D Am feeling more motivated as well now as it's nice to actually see results. Must get back into the beauty routine though - hair needs conditioning, feet need sorting out and my nails are shocking! Think that may be the plan of action for tonight.

Tru - WOW only 3 lots of chocolate, I AM impressed :D

Have done naff all exercise for past week :o Been really stressed, kids not sleeping great and I just feel tired. Doesn't help that H has rented out a couple of films lately and we can't watch them til DS goes up to bed and he's not been going off until after 9.30  (he's 5, has ASD and needs support going off to sleep......we've tried everything and he's far less stressed when one of us stays upstairs with him). So had a few too many late nights with interupted sleep......time to break out the pile cream for my eye bags :rotfl:

Anyway I want (note I didn't say NEED) to get my butt moving so I think I shall resort to Ipod and Lady Gaga to shake my thang ATM as that's all I think I can cope with for now.

Hope you're all doing well, remembered my lippy AND perfume today :D

    Good Afternoon Ladies and Lurkers!

HWta a gorgeous day! shame to me working really! will be trying for a little time in the garden this eve if the weather holds I think.

Good weekend, managed to get a few bits done around the house and it feels far less cluttered.

Also managed a fair bit of pampering, yesterday did a rosemary and tea tree oil steam, followed by a face mask, while I did a foot soak/scrub and gave my tootsies some TLC- mainly as I'd manged to stub my toes a lot on the Saturday moving bits and have destroyed the little nail on my right foot...looks all weird now:mad:.

no exercising per say but was definately up and about for most of saturday so I'm counting that...ish

went to see OH's Granny yesterday afternoon- and have to say out of all of the family she is the one who really goes above and beyond , she'd put on a buffet as we also had OH's great uncle over and most of the family popped round/in and out for the afternoon- but she made sure there was lots and lots of different salads and veg plenty of healthy options I felt quite spoilt really- gotta love grannies eh?

It's funny as she used to be quite "rigid" you know? had certain fixed opinions, would be almost quite aggressive about things etc but over the last couple of years she has seemed to soften a bit and really makes the effort to make you "know" that you matter to her. Out of everyone I would have thought she would be the one who wouldn't understand my need to change habits/eating etc but in fact the "younger" ones are the ones who seem to take issue whilst Granny backs me up and tells ppl to back off when trying to force vast arrays of cake on to my plate- you think I'm joking? On average there will usually be at least 6 different types of cake at a family "do" and it's seen as rude if you don't try them all....In Laws eh? bet DH thinks some of my family's foibles are just as odd!

Anyway, point is Granny (in-law) is awesome:D and I'm feeling much better after an afternoon visit...as is DH who left loaded with HM bread, pasties, quiche, baked ham, HM pickles enough to keep him in lunches for the week- whilst I got a large selection of salads to add to mine:D

Pamper for today will be eyebrow tidy and trim and shape of nails- maybe paint them if I have time- but I'm planning on having a very chilled out night maybe even having dinner in the garden if possible...

right am off for now, hope everyone is doing well!

    Hello Everyone

Woke up feeling exhausted, having a few broken nights with night sweats/hot flushes. Have been feeling really tired despite managing to get to bed a lot earlier. Anyway had a nice long catch up nap this afternoon for about 1.5 hours and feeling much better.

Gone back onto the sage again to try and see if it's helps with meno symptoms. Still trying to wean myself of HRT - think I've been trying to do it too quickly.

I'm also struggling with the munchies at the moment - again I think it's linked to hormones being out of kilter. It's strange isn't it - it doesn't matter whether we are teens, 20's. 30's any age you care to mention we females of the species struggle with all sorts of hormone related issues.

Mrs W - nice to hear about your awesome Granny. I think every family needs a strong matriarch. My mum never really fitted the role well probably because she isn't English and never really learned to fully understand the English mentality. It was Aunty S who was the matriarch in our family - funny thing is we called her Aunt and she wasn't actually related.

Reading your comments about your Gran made me realise that although I don't have any grandchildren I seem to have taken Aunty S's place as the matriarch of the family. Everyone looks to me for advice, guidance, wisdom, food, practical know-how etc How strange - ditzy old me becoming the font of all wisdom:rotfl:

Senility def catching up with me:o.

Maman - hope you enjoyed your day on the IOW - lovely place.

PK - well done on the weight loss:T.

Bitsy - I've been very remiss with the exercise too, just not felt up to it, hopefully will get back on track soon. Have done mega amounts of very physical housework and some gardening so not all bad, haven't been lolling on the sofa - in fact very little lolling has been done of late.:D

Tru - I can't stand clutter either, makes me feel tense and edgy - specially when I can't find anything.

Since starting Frump to Fab I've been steadily decluttering bit by bit. I feel that it's really starting to pay dividends now - I'm finding it much easier to keep the house in order.

I had a lady in to help me get down to some serious cleaning for a few weeks but have now decided I can probably manage ok by myself now that I've got extra carers for OH. They come in for an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening. It's surprising just how much I can achieve in that time. He still has his PA's for a few hours each day too, so I'm getting a lot more breaks now.

I'm arranging for him to go into respite for a week in August when his main PA is on holiday - the expensive one I looked at the other week - taking him to have a look tomorrow.

Hopefully this home will be better than the last one we tried - I really couldn't let him go back there. Unfortunately even if this one is wonderful I still need to continue searching for a permanent placement because of the financial issues. It's all very complicated - a lot of it depends on how long we can keep him at home.

BTW OH's carer saw me applying my frankincense and rose serum today. She was so taken I've promised to make her some.

It's her birthday on Wednesday and I found her a lovely little mirrored trinket box in Sainsbury's.

They have got loads of offers on in their homewares - some half price - jewellery boxes/stands, photo frames, candles, "pretty little nothings". In our family we call them "giftettes" ie small "mindings" or stocking fillers.

I bought some really pretty photo frames for various birthday and Christmas presents. Might pop back tomorrow and get a few more bits to put aside - was in a hurry today and didn't have much time for browsing.

Anyway enough of my prattle -time for my beauty sleep.

    G'night all x

    :T:T:T That's amazing podperson, well done:T:T:T

I didn't mean to post as it's late but I just couldn't ignore that!

Had a great day on IOW, weather was very kind to us. All this gallivanting about isn't good for my eating (or drinking:o) but I'm being as sensible as possible. I'm going to be extra good tomorrow:D

Aww, thank you Maman :) am quite surprised myself as haven't been going mad with it. Eat reasonably healthy anyway but have cut down on the snacking and think it's the exercise that has really made a difference.

Mrs W - your gran sounds lovely, am glad some of your family are making the effort to make things easier for you.

I sooo need to do a declutter, find it quite hard to find motivation for things like that. I did sort out y clothes drawers a few weeks ago but that was about it. Yesterday was good with the exercise - walked home from home since it was a nice day and then managed to start my shred again later (one of these days I will manage a full week on it - have no chance getting to level 2 the way I do it!) But then OH was complaining that we had no food in the house (which he has a slight point about, we're overdue a decent shop) so ended up getting takeaway :o
On the beauty side though had a nice long shower, body scrub and conditioned my hair. Then did my nails so they're a nice denim blue at the moment.

    Hi Everyone

PP - Well done on the weight loss, forgot to mention it yesterday.:o

Took OH to the nursing home for a look round. l managed to trap my finger in his wheelchair - the onsite nurse had to fix it for me. It's a real sorry mess and quite painfull, luckily my left hand though. I am really clumsy at the moment, I badly burned the same hand a week ago and the week before that I had an enormous bruise on the same hand which I can't even remember how it got there.:o

Took him for a Fish & Chip lunch. I think I've well and truly scuppered my weight loss this week. Never mind, if I can lose 1st by Christmas I will be happy enough. Steady as she goes.

Going to have a little rest and then there's a big pile of ironing waiting for me. Oh yes, and I really want to exercise today.

Can I have an extra 6 hours a day please.

    Anyway time for my nap.............
