Back again.
Quiet day here. Lovely bright day so went for brisk (ish) walk - only about 20 mins but better that nowt. Also managed some yoga and stretches, and then a nice long nap this afternoon.
What a difference a bit of colour makes.
Yesterday I wore mid grey trousers and a pale grey t-shirt, topped with a navy cardigan. Caught site of myself in a shop window and thought OMG I look like a ghost.
Was wearing the same this morning when my sister arrived and she said I looked awful. Go sis tell it like it is. :rotfl: Swapped the navy cardigan for a red muli-coloured Chanel look-i-likie style cardigan and hey presto I looked much better.
So from now on - at least on my "pale and interesting" days I am resolving to add a little more colour to my life.
Anyway off to start the dinner - keep up the good work.

Id be up for a Spa day in the New Year:T:T:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

I dont mind travelling awhile although it would depend on how well I am. I am a recent convert to Spas after my trip to Ragdale with Mooloo in July xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Floss, Mrs Woolfe and Lizzie - I will wear my walking boots next time, promise! I have got some Hi-Tec ladies walking boots, but I have only worn them once as they gave me several blisters. I wasn't wearing walking socks with them though. I have now bought some double lined socks, so hopefully this will prevent any further blisters. Floss, don't worry about coming across as bossy, you are only trying to help and I need someone to point out the obvious from time to time!
Hello to Tracy
Sparkles - Well done on your weight loss!
Pink Poppy - Sounds like you are doing well with your fabbing so far, keep up the walking.
Podperson - Hope you have been able to make progress with your assignment.
Thanks to everyone who has offered support over no longer being a bridesmaid for my sister, very kind words and they did make me feel better! I do feel as if a 'weight' has been lifted, so I know I have done the right thing for me, for how I feel at the moment. I really need to look at building my self esteem up for the future though, I do have a book on this subject, so I will start by reading it.
I got my assignment back today, very pleased as I got a higher mark than I expected. I have slipped behind a little as I have missed studying a couple of days this week, but I will be back to it tomorrow.
Completed 45 minutes on exercise bike yesterday, and a walk the day before. Feel pretty tired, so just going to watch a film and have a rest this evening.
Have a fab evening all... :cool:0 -
Good Evening x
I had a disastrous day yesterday Fab wise. I ate my way through the leftovers from Halloween which included garlic prawns and chocolate cake:eek::eek::eek: Anyway I have a real craving for fish at the moment and have realised that I am due my B12 jab and as for the chocolate - well the Witch dictated that I eat it:eek::eek::eek: However I have had a much better day today so back on track with mindful eating:T:T:T
I had a mooch around the make-up counters today and was bedazzled by the varieties. I just dont know where to start. I badly need some colour though as I look very pale and almost translucent. I also bought another dress - oops:o:o

Today was good, I bought a new bra for £14 and 4 pairs of knickers for £5. These were much needed as I haven't bought a new bra for over 2 years and all my knickers are becoming dull and holeySavings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0

hi LL,
I agree about colours. I started to wear so much black to work it was a bit depressing. Even tho' my coats for work are black and black opaque tights but try to brighten it up with a nice scarf. Have just bought a nice scarf from m&s a nice rusty colour with cream checks and a gold thread running through with tiny sequins. probably sounds awful but it is quite nice not very mse at £18. Checks are in this year.
I would love to go for colour analysis. My sister had it done years ago at a gym/type leisure place i think. she was given swatches of colours that suited her so that when she goes shopping its easier to buy what suits her. When i go shopping and i am not sure of a colour of something and don't want to try it on i feel silly standing in front of a mirror in a shop to see if it suits me, lol. So i should look into having in done.0 -
Good Morning x
Dull and grey day both outside and inside my head as my anxiety has kicked back in big time. TBH I think my eating has not helped as I have overdosed on Chocolate and need my B12 fairly urgently now so am craving oily fish.
I have bitten the bullet and have bought some mineral makeup online. I decided that as I am the same colouring as my DD (19) that if i dont get on with it then she will jump at the chance of using it. In fact it will probably get snaffled anyway:o I did buy her a collection of said makeup as part of her Christmas present so hopefully that will satisfy her natural curiosity:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Ok well Im going shopping later for food - I really know how to live - and I wish you all a good day xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

You could try your own with a friend maybe? Each bring a selection of coloured clothes, sit in a well lit natural light area in front of a mirror and between you decide which colours suit you by draping over shoulder and neck area and judging the effect of your face. Only got this idea from a Trinny and Susannah book where they are actually wearing the good and bad colours to demonstrate how stuff looked. Just an idea anyway.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
