i would love to be able to buy a bra for £10 ... that would be heaven to me ... sadly with the size i am i have never been able to get anything for less than £30 and those £30 ones arnt that great ... i tend to need atleast a rigby pellier ( i think they are called) or a fantasie bra ... this is because i am huge and heavy busted i am a size 34 HH yes i am heavy but even when i was a size 12 i was a 32 GG so sadly losing weight doesnt make my bust shrink .... although to be honest my bra needs are different now the last lot of bra's i got ( half price sale got them for £28) are not working for me at present ... my shoulder is such a mess now that once i have a bra on i need to put toilet roll under a certain area to cushion my skin even when i do this i will be bruised within a couple of hours but if i dont i will be bleeding bruised and in agony ....i used to wear a bra at all times apart from in bed ( trying to support the muscle ... and it worked my breasts didnt droop too much ... the muscle held them up) however now i can only wear a bra for a very short time ... basically for as long as i must and no more ... i am going to have to try non underwired bra's to see if they make life easier for me
i have to admit my current bra situation really gets me down ... it gets me down more than almost everything else tbh
anyway rant about my bra life over ....0 -
Elantan - no problem here's the recipe!
Clare's Cleanser
1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil
7 tablespoon of Trex
5 drops of either Lavender or Roman Chamomile EO.
Melt the Trex and oil in a saucepan. Alow to cool ( 5 to 10 min).
Add the EO and whisk with a balloon whisk or small spoon until it thickens and becomes opaque.
Pour into a container.
It will take a few hours to turn to the right consitancy. If your kitchen is really warm perhaps pop it into the fridge for 30 mins - and that's it!
Will last up to 6 months but you will have used it up before then!
Store it in a drawer no need to refrigerate.
To use it ,(sorry if this sounds bossy!) warm a little between your fingers so it liquifies (sp) apply to dry skin. You can use it over eyes as well as it removes all makeup even waterproof mascara.
Remove with a muslin cloth, this will remove the dirt and makeup but you will be left with a slight 'film' on your skin so splash with water and dry with a towel.
Your skin will feel very soft afterwards ( especially if you have been keeping up with your exfoliating!)
Then apply toner ( if using) and moisturiser
I use the lavender in my cleanser and Roman chamomile for Husband and Sons.
Apart from being good for your skin, it contains no parabans etc, is quick to make and costs about 50p a batch to make!

Day 5 of the shred done. Thought I'd pass out in this heat, but I got through it and then devoured a banana and soaked in the bath! I also walked the 'long way' (ie - via the next village!) home from dropping the children at school this morning and added 3.8 miles to my total for June, which means I'm about 4 miles off 100 miles - not bad considering I took a week off all exercise (and everything else actually!) due to a bereavement which sent me silly and I just couldn't do anything. The only things I really managed were getting the children to school, picking them up again and feeding them, everything else went out the window.
Haven't managed to read everything yet, OH on lates this week so I shall be able to catch up in the evenings.
elantan - Although I'm not 'enormously blessed' I feel your pain and I can only imagine how much it must get you down, it would me. I'd love to have a suggestion that would help you, but I'm sorry I can't think of one"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

ooh hello, Can I join in please? I just popped over to start a thread about what a mess I am and ask for help but came across this topic instead, so I'll keep reading and learning. I've already promised myself new undies tomorrow just from reading the last two pages...Theres no excuse for tatty knickers, quite right!:D
My biggest problem is lack of style, I just don't know how to dress myself. I did make a start today by buying these from Clarks but no idea what to put with them?

I had £50 of vouchers fom work so used £40 and have £10 left plus a £50 cash budget I'm allowing myself this month. I'm terrible at accessorising, I just don't bother. I'm very short, 5 feet, olive skinned and I carry weight around my middle. I saw this in Next

Would it go with my new shoes? Would you pay £30 it?
Other problems
*2 St overweight
*hair is straggly, split and limp.
*My feet are a disgrace
...mmmmm thats it off the top of my head!
Looking forward to being fab!

ellas i feel your pain there i am 5 ft 1 and a half inches ( that half is sooooo important ) i am over 15 stone so i have a rather large middle also .... i'm noticing that a few of us are quite similar if not in height /weight etc then in how we view ourselves ( not girly girl etc) and the way we do our hair ( ponytails) .... its great to share the journey with like minded people ...
i think the answer with my bras is going to be to buy non wired ones as it is the wires that are killing me ... my right shoulder has dropped so far down that it crushes my side ... it's not very obvious unless you know me or are qualified to spot these things ... but friends can tell by looking at me if i am having a bad day shoulder wise
well i did the shred again today yes it is getting slightly easier but not by much ... right better head a friend has popped by for a visit will report back later ... have a great day all0
