Advice please with ebay

I sold something the other week to which i sought advice here and followed it, but a quick summary is I do not normally accept collections as we can never been around at a specific time so it is hard. However a buyer bid and won, then asked for collection. I agreed after stating that they should have asked before bidding and we arranged a date and time. They then came back to me saying they would like a new paypal invoice minus the postage. I refused and said it was cash on collection or paypal and postage. Needless to say they didn't turn up and I opened a case against them. I have received an email today from them stating they have been in touch with ebay and they are well within their rights to withdraw the bid as I went back on an agreement - which I plainly didn't they have done nothing but make assumptions that everything they asked for they would get. They are now telling me that as I have wasted their time I have to close the case so they can appeal to have the unpaid item case removed from their file.

Any advice greatly received I have never had problems before and do not know how to deal with this properly.

I can not find a direct contact for ebay to ask their advice

Thanks in advance

Just leave the unpaid item case to run. Ebay will refund you the selling fees and then you are free to sell to the next highest bidder if you want.

well really you're in the wrong as you cannot refuse paypal, regardless of the item being collection only. All they have to do to win the case is to pay by paypal.

The item is not collection only - it's postage, and the OP is asking for payment by paypal for item cost and postage, as per the auction.

It was the seller who wanted collection (not offered), but wanted to still pay with paypal.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

When did you open the dispute? You can close it 4 days later, you'll get your fvf's back & the bidder will receive a strike.

another awkward buyer you sold her something she then shifted the goalposts stick to your guns

And if they do pay by paypal they'll be paying the postage then you can send. Makes you wonder why they won't pay cash though.... (scam waiting to happen :undecided)

I opened the dispute on Saturday they are saying i should close the case because I am in the wrong and they can then appeal against the neg.

I had a feeling as soon as they asked (demanded) the invoice minus the postage that they were going to be trouble lol

Close it right now and just get rid of them. They obviously aren't going to pay what you are asking for so don't mess around feeling sorry for them.
