    Well

I wrote a big long post with all my exciting news for the day - and I pressed the wrong button and lost it.

I promise it was exceedingly well written and full of interest.

    But now we'll never know.

  • Good morning everyone! :hello:

I was in the bad books this morning as I'd forgotten to cancel the 5.30am alarm on my phone from last week. It didn't bother me so I just left it but hubby very grumpily stomped downstairs to find it and then moaned because he couldn't see how to turn it off. Hee hee!

Last night I felt very OS. We had stir fried Sunday roast! I just shoved the whole lot (except gravy :o ) into the wok with some Teryaki sauce and beansprouts and it was actually quite yummy. Stir fry roasted parsnips anyone? :D And then I remembered to cook up the potato skins and gave the chooks a treat this morning. I hope they like them, it was too dark for them to venture out the coop this morning so I'll have to see tonight if they've gobbled them all up.

Hubby's done all the ironing so nothing to do there for a couple of days. It's deathly quiet at work so I've brought my little sewing machine into work to make Grandad's pressie. I'm going to ask if I can go early too so I can get some tyres put on the car before the garage closes.

Tea tonight will be easy - using up all the cheese and opened biscuits from the weekend.

Anyway, have a lovely day all.

    Take care
    xx

    Morning all,
It's foggy here - I can't see the bottom of the garden! It's great though - dampens all sound and makes the world seem ethereal.

OH has gone for an interview (finger and toes and everything crossed) - ONE of us needs a job...

Next dance party tonight - ballroom and latin. Less food (whew) for me to pick at...

Just off to clean the loo. Aren't I a lucky girl?

Hugs to all who want/need them.
    BIG hugs to poor bunny
    Special hugs to PP

To do today : continue hunting for the right wok
clean/tiday lounge, hall and dining room
    clean downstairs loo
finish washing and hang out to dry
not sure what else... will come to me as I do the above!

    Have a great day everyone

My feet have finally stopped hurting after yesterday's shopping trip.

May need to go to Wilkinsons later for some more fluffy wool as at least one of my DDs and a friend really love what I have done so far.

Tonight will be chicken lasagne unless something happens to change plans.

Around 1p.m. someone should be collecting my fathers electric bed as I freecycled it. He would be pleased it is going to someone who really needs it due to their health. He would also have been pleased to know his three piece suit was going to a home for disabled children.

I have been trying to phone the undertaker to find out about DH's best friend who died on 3rd october and is still not cremated. Line is busy so will try later.

DD is delighted that the huge box that arrived from the book people last night has some extra presents for her friends. It might just have a present for her birthday on 12th January as well.

In true moneysaving style I got books worth £120 for

    Guess what?

Nice bright morning again, have to cook at lunchtime today OH has a meeting tonight and needs to leave at 6pm (our usual supper time). nothing much planned, tomorrow is our big shopping day, Mr T's, market and then to the library to pick up our books for the holiday. In the afternoon I have to go and see my friend with the computer probs, have had to get my little man in to see if he can sort it out for her, need to be there, she will not understand what he is telling her and as the systems administrator he needs my pass word to get in.

Apart from cooking lunch, have a little sewing project I want to finish, house is clean and tidy, will have a quick whip round on Saturday for the weekend, no cleaning next Monday, strictly a resting day apart from cooking our Christmas supper. Menu planned, smoked salmon and rocket salad for lunch, roast beef and all he trimmings for supper followed by raspberry trifle and warm mince pies.......a good bottle of wine, and maybe later some choccies.......
off for a :coffee: and to get OH off to the PO with a cheque that needs paying into our account...........

    Have a good day.......

Morning vryone hope that you are all warm, well and happy. Couldn't get on yesterday kept being logged out and a message about problems with hte site! GRRRRR! Today I feel really sad and useless. Spent ages trying to unblock the sink and failing. Can't unscrew u bend as the door of the sink unit is the only thing holding the sink together. Am going to B&Q later to buy some caustic soda so hopefully that will do the trick. Regarding Christmas NOTHING done there is only us two and it shouldnt matter but today somehow it does. Not done any cards, no extra baking(did cake ages ago before I was ill) House is a mess(as well as falling down) I feel 100%useless. I wish my mum was still hre to chat to. I know that I am being pathetic, we have such a lot to be thankful for, DH's health is SO much better, he is at the nicest school that he has ever taught at,I'm much better, cats are all well BUT........ I am also getting to the end of my tether with the situation regarding our next door neighbours. I feel scared to go out in case I get a (quietly spoken) mouthful of abuse, the current "fun" is to throw ciggeratte buts over on to our path(13 yesterday) they also mutter horrible things when DHcomes in at night, am far too scared to complain so dont even feel happy here. I'm really sorry to moan , I want to send loads of love to all who need it, pleaase look aftr yourselves and again sorry for moaning. Keep warm and happy love Annie XXXX

Good luck for your date tonight MP - let us know how it went tomorrow...

B I G hugs to Annie - don't feel down love, the neighbors sound like trash, and you are a wonderful person! How empty is their lives that all they have to do is abuse others?
I hope you can come up with a solution xxx

    Hello everyone. :hello:

I've been busy for a couple of days so belated Happy Birthday wishes to Nelski and Quasar. One of the reasons why I've been busy is that my son shares his birthday with you Quasar.

Penny Pincher, I hope that next year will be a better year for you.
MushyPeas, I hope your date goes well tonight.

There was a really hard frost here last night, so we were a bit late getting to school as I hadn’t allowed time to defrost the car. But it's a gorgeous crisp sunny day now.

I've got lots of wrapping and some last minute posting to do today, and then I need to make something quick and easy for tea as Mr Pink and I are going out this evening to try and get some last minute bits and pieces tied up. I’m working all weekend so I have to try to be as organised as possible by Friday.

I hope you all have a good day.
