If her employer hasn't got a system in place to automatically sync her documents and emails with the works server each time she logs-in at work, then they obviously do not understand IT very well.

Not at all, not every employer syncs the laptops, simply because depending on what level of access you give the users, come just fill them with crap. Downloads that shouldn't be on there etc and users don't always save to their profile; some will create folders at the root drive...

Even though the OP's sister has got it sorted now Steve had the right answer. If you have an issue with a work laptop you let the IT people at work deal with.

1 - you probably won't have admin rights to do anything.
2 - IT doesn't just stick a Windows disk in to rebuild it. They'll have a pre-built image for it with all the work apps etc on it.
3 - you won't be able to connect it to the network when you get back to work the next day.

So if you do manage to do anything there's a good chance you'll have to go and speak to IT because of options 2 or 3 and have to explain yourself.

I am a man. You obviously have had a bad experience with using your intelligence.

My appologies. From your ranting and obvious obsession with me I thought you were a woman!
