If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Right, I've been back to Morrisons again :j and bought more cream, unsalted butter and a couple of chocolate muffins for the cake crumbs. I'll just have to eat the other one. It only took 20 minutes, which was surprising.
I'm going to have a quick bash at the white chocolate and cardamom truffles before I go out - any tips for crushing cardamom seeds in the absence of a mortar & pestle? I need a fine powder. :think:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Got a rolling pin? I'd suggest a plastic bag but you might find the seeds damage it. If it does, try and grind carefully on a chopping board.mrbadexample wrote:Right, I've been back to Morrisons again :j and bought more cream, unsalted butter and a couple of chocolate muffins for the cake crumbs. I went round Mrs_Pepperpot's house and borrowed hers.

Now then, before I start, can I leave the truffle mixture in the fridge overnight before I shape them? I'm not going to have time to do it all tonight.

Ok, an action shot of the truffle mixture being whipped:

That needs two hours in the fridge so it's going in overnight, as I'll be in the pub by then. :beer:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Ahh..pub cancelled through lack of attendance, so the cooking may continue.
