My BIL (who is Dutch) loves a Hagel-Bagel for weekend breakfast - choc vermacilli on a bagel! Not my kinda thing...Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0

I still don't know what sort of chocolate I should be buying for the rum truffles. Any recommendations? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

I would go for a good rich dark chocolate with a high % cocoa solids but I guess it depends on what you prefer!“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Cooking chocolate or normal chocolate? Or doesn't it matter? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Personally I'd use "normal" chocolate - I think Lindt or Green and Blacks do 70% chocolate (and they're available from most supermarkets;) , I've read your cooking threads before) as if there's any left over its fair game and you can eat it yourself :rotfl: :rotfl: :TNever let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

I doubt it matters that much but I would prefer good stuff like green and blacks dark chocolate like Skintlass suggests
It sounds gorgeous but I've made fudge already and I can't afford to have any more sweet stuff in the house, or I'll have to go on 'You are what you Eat' in the New Year..............:rotfl:

If you've got LIdl near use their dark choc. It's 70% and much cheaper than Lindt or Green and Blacks. V good too. Check out their chocolate almonds too, yum.0

I know what you mean - maybe we can have a "you are what you eat" stylee thread in the New Year with only healthy recipes in itNever let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0 -
Well, I went to Boots, and after much searching, found the rosewater in the PERFUME section!
I asked the assistant to confirm that it was edible. She looked at me like I was from planet stupid in the idiot nebula. :rotfl:
She told me it wasn't, so I bought it anyway. I couldn't see anything in the contents that indicated it was toxic.
However, I would be most grateful if someone could confirm that I'm not about to kill anyone and it's genuinely the right stuff. It was £3.99 for 400ml, and I only need a tiny bit. :mad:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Secondly, what is corn starch? Morrisons don't appear to sell it. I think I managed to get everything else. :think:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
