Nice idea, and it might have worked except it was so sticky that not much of it would go through. (And believe me I tried! I'm 6'3", 200lb and could not physically push it all through.) Here's the result:
I am extremely glad I halved the quantities, as it saved a lot of waste.
That's it. I quit. I'm doing the washing up and then heading for the nearest pub.
Anyone who wants a free bottle of rosewater, PM me and I'll post it to you. It's only got a tablespoon out of it, and will not be used again. I'd rather scrape my own eyes out with a blunt and rusty spoon. :mad:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Hugs Mr BE - You didn't really want any turkish delight anyway... I can tell.
Rum truffle anyone? *grin*
Thanks to you, I have my second chocolate yoghurt cake in the oven. MMMMM. Almost ready to brave the shops for some ingredients for chocolate fudge icing. (Forgot that I wanted to try icing it - ate the first one plain!)
Much obliged to you.

You're very welcome. The CYC is a triumph. May I suggest you never try to make Turkish delight, if you wish to remain sane? :rotfl:
I have a small amount of Turkish Misery, which will get cut up and dusted tomorrow. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

rofl.
Fortunately I don't like Turkish Delight so will never be sucked into attempting to make such a heinous dish.

Where are ya TL? :rotfl:
I'm probably going to have to go out around 4pm-ish, so I'm going to tackle the TD now, and the rum truffles later.
I have just tried my first white chocolate and cardamom truffle. The icing sugar has formed a very thin "shell", and has made them a little easier to handle. They are really light and fluffy - I'm well chuffed!I'm going to give them another dusting of icing sugar, as this seems to help.

Oh, have you gone? Did I mix the TD climax?TL0

It's all over TL, thankfully. Never again. :rolleyes:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
