OK MBE if you're not too precious about your truffles being perfectly round, how about ones shaped like rugby balls?

2 teaspoons, one mug of very hot water. Teaspoons into mug to heat up - shake one spoon dry and scoop up a rounded teaspoon of mixture. Shake other teaspoon dry and scoop the mixture off the first teaspoon, trying to round off the top. Use first teaspoon to push mixture off second spoon and onto saucer of icing sugar (left over from chocolate cake) Roll mini rugby ball in icing sugar then use spoon to gently lift it onto clean saucer.

    Stand back, admire, and repeat

  • Ok...this isn't working! I have chilled my hands and attempted to roll my balls in them, but it's too sticky and just covers my hands in truffle mixture. Any tips on how I can do this?

How about I put the mixture in the freezer for a bit?
Use 2 teaspoons or forks to shape and then drop into cocoa or whatever your rolling them in. Job done. :D

This is a flippin' nightmare! I've done 7 so far. You have to chill your hands, [STRIKE]dust[/STRIKE] cover them with icing sugar, roll (very quickly) and put back into the fridge! You can only do two before you have to wash your hands and start over!
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Ooh you are sharp aren't you? Nothing wrong with blokes using handcream its when they start using foundation that I worry :D Mr BE it does sound like a bit of a chore but just think how proud you'll be when they're all done :j
