Hi, I'm new and looking for ways to save money and pay off my large overdraft. This looks like a great way to keep focused and get good tips and ideas.

Can you put me down for £5 a day and I'll try my hardest to achieve it.

So, having stated I definitely wasn't going to start until tomorrow the cake I made and wasn't expecting to get paid for until tomorrow has been collected early... £28 that I now won't be counting towards my total.

Also, I was lucky enough to get in early on last weeks £20 off £40 at Ocado from the weekly email. I bought a saucepan, some roll out icing and some cupcake cases to make more cakes and get some stuff in for it on the cheap.

They didn't have the SEVEN PACKS of roll out icing so it's been dropped from my order but the voucher is still valid. It was £2.99 for delivery and I've ended up with a saucepan and 10 packs of cupcake cases for a total of £4.26 (incl delivery)!!! Awesome!! :)

Motivating for the month to come I think. Even had a look around for part time evening jobs today to really get the money coming in.

:hello: and welcome to all newbies. You have all been added to the 3rd post on the first page.

redapril, the challenge is supposed to start on 1 July, but we have had people who do the challenge payday to payday, ie 25 of each month, as that was easier for them. Some just can't wait and like to start early :D

They never use the letter checker just ask me to put it on he scales the items have been wrapped in the little black bags you can buy of ebay couple of items have been a baby cap and a babys top ! Maybe I need to buy big envelops to put them in !

I have three Post offices near where I live, all within a similar distance. One lady never checks, and IMO is a bit sloppy with weights too as identical things tend to cost more at that PO than the other two. Another lady always checks, and even jiggles larger bags around in the checker to see if they can squeeze through, so I always try to go to that one. Do you have any other Post Offices in the area that you can use?
